We're thinking of switching things up next year and doing a Land/Sea vacation. Does the price quote online include tickets to the parks for the Land portion?
Yes. Your transportation to the park will be paid since Disney now has free transportation from the airport to the park. We had to pay for other transportation.
Are you saying that transportation is included? I have a land/sea booked for Aug. and I was told it is not included. You would still have to pay for it.
Recently booked L/S for 2/26/06. We did not purchase the transportation option. We booked through Alamo in February this year for $145, even factoring in the tank of gas, it was less than the $177 for 2 A & 1 C quoted by DCL; plus we have the freedom of having our own car.
I am thinking maybe "believe" is talking about the Magic your way express service that will be starting in May for stays at Disney World only---us land and sea people are not included in the freebe transportation--We still go on the Disney Cruise Line buses...hope that helps (I asked my TA the same thing)
We were refunded for the transportation from the airport to the hotel because of the Magic your way Express starting in May. I think it was a total of $40 for the 4 of us ($10/person).
For everyone that booked a L/S package....have you priced it out doing a seaprate land quote and then a cruise quote and booking them separately? Many times it comes out cheaper (especially if you can use one of the resorts codes offered at www.mousesavers.com).
By doing it this way you don't have to take whatever resort is associated with your cabin type.... you have the flexibility of picking what resort you want and how many days you want to stay there, and if you want to do the resort after the cruise, instead of before the cruise (with official L/S pkg resort portion must be first). If you did it this way you would have to purchase your own park tickets and factor in that cost for your comparison but some of those codes, depending on the time of year, can save you up to 50% off WDW resorts. And now with the Magical Express, your transfers from the airport to the resort would be complimentary though you would still have to get transportation from WDW to the ship.
So the DCL transfers are on separate buslines from the magical express thingie? That would be sweet. I've been kinda sad thinking that we were going to get lumped in with the rest of the non-cruising riff-raff on cattle trucks from MCO to the resorts. But if they're going to keep us on different, more brightly-colored cattle trucks, I'll be happy.
