I've seen a post about this before but the search function is disabled.

We are booking a land/sea for February 2005. My question is the day of the cruise, I have read that you are called and asked if you want to go to the Animal Kingdom lodge for the character breakfast and priority seating at the show, and then leave from there to the ship.

Is this true, or is this something people have arranged on their own? I assume to do this you would have had to be using the Disney bus transfers.

Any experienced land/sea people that can tell about their morning of cruise?

:sunny: We did our first land and see in August 0f 2002 and stayed at the CRB. When we checked in they gave a a paper telling us that if we wanted to go to the AK for breakfast we could catch the Cruse bus there. Hope this helps. We decided it was not worth the money.:wave2:

We stayed at the Poly in Dec '01, and were given the option of going to the AK in the morning and taking the DCL bus from there. It worked out great. However, when I asked DU about Thursday transport for our upcoming land and sea, I was told the AK option is no longer available. The agent said that was a trial, but has since been discontinued.

We are staying at the Poly this time around also. From what I gather, our only option is leaving from the Poly at noon. We decided that is fine, because Thur is an EE day for MK, so we can head over via monorail and hit a few rides in the morning.

Sounds like it may have stopped from what Piper said, but we were given info upon check in at our resort that gave us a ## to call to reserve seating for Donald's character breakfast on your cruise departure date at AK (no discounts on the price of the breakfast). At AK they had a table set up where you could check your carry on (DCL already has your luggage) and receive a ticket for priority seating at one of 2 shows. So while at AK, you didn't have to worry about anything. At about 1130, you could line up to get on the DCL busses to go to port. Too bad if they stopped it....it was a good idea if you ask me! (Plus that is one of our favorite character breakfasts!)
