We'll be doing the land portion of our land/sea first, getting to the hotel on our own.
Does anyone know what we do when we get to the hotel? Do we just do regular check in?
Is there a special place to check in?
Where do we go to get our tickets?
etc.

Thanks in advance!

Hope this helps you, when you get to your resort (we stayed at CBR) you go to the DCL desk first. They will check you in, check you birth cert. and ID"S and take all the immigration and cruise forms you need to have filled out that comes in your documents. Its good to have all that filled out ahead of time, it makes check in go faster. They you go check in at the resort counter. There you get your KTTW cards good for your entire trip, land and sea. Your KTTW card acts as your room key, charging and park tickets.

When you get to the port after your land part, all you have to do is go through security. Now since you have your own transportation there, I am not sure about your baggage, since we used DCL transfers. But once you go through security you can walk right on the ship!! You have to show your KTTW cards to get on the ship, and they are your room key and charging card on ship as well, plus you use them to go on and off the ship. So you have the same card for the entire trip.

Hope this was helpful, let me know if you have any more questions. Enjoy your trip.

We stayed at the BC. You check in the front desk. They give you your KTTW card. Some info on the hotel and parks. Then you go over to the cruise desk. That is where you will do all the cruise stuff. Make sure that you have all your docs. and your birth cert or passport and your drivers license. If you haven't filled all the docs. thats OK they will help you. They were very nice here. Then you can go enjoy the parks. That easy. Then when you get to the terminal you have to go through 2 checkin's in your car if you drive. If you take Disney trans. they drop you off in front. You will check you bags at the curb. Then you go through security up the esculator. Mickey will be at the top by the model of the ship then you get to go through the Mickey ears to get on the ship. You don't have to check in at the terminal. Its great to just get on the ship. You will have a blast. Have fun. Brenda

We basically had the same experience at the S/D. One little piece of advice that we picked up from the Resorts board: Stay the night before your "official" arrival at a cheapo motel in Kissimmee/Orlando. Then, go to the DCL desk first thing the next morning. Even if they don't have your room ready, they will give you your KTTW and you can enjoy the full day at the parks (you're paying for the full day - why not use it!).

BALAMAV, We are staying at the BC as well. What time does the DCL bus pick up from the BC and what time do you get to port?

The hotle takes great care of you (at least the Ploy did). You'll get your KTTW card and that's all you need!! You're on your way!! HAVe a great time, sit back, relax, and by all means, have all your park purchases sent to your room!!

thanks!! all of your answers were very helpful!!
we're really getting close now....so much to do...so little time

Just in case any non-US citizens are reading this thread - the above only applies if you are a US citizen. Otherwise, you have to re-check in at the terminal. Luckily, the non-US line is usually quite short! DCL will take your passports for the duration of your cruise (you'll get a photo copy of the picture page for exit/entry at ports if that's your only form of photo id) and get it back on arrival at Port Canaveral (very early - this is the voice of experience!)
