Work is boring.
:thumbsup2 Yep! Is it getting any better?

It might be a laminate covered type thing. It's exactly like Pergo.
It comes in strips. It's 4 of those blocks in a row, you lay it down, it has tongue and groove on each side, so you just shove the next piece into it, and it sticks.
My mom has basically the same stuff in her kitchen. It's a laminate but looks like ceramic tile and is put together by locking te pieces together--basically on top of any hard surface you have already there (like linoleum) without having to take the old stuff up. We have the Pergo wood in our kitchen. At the time we had a lab, a sheltie, and 2 kids playing in the sandbox. It has no scratches. I love that floor....
I get why you have the leis on the cabinets.... just this weekend I took the lanyards we got at Discovery Cove off of my pot rack over the kitchen island and put them away in the closet. I figured it's been since September and all, but it made me happy to look at them and remember how much fun we had

RVgal, I loved the rainbows. You deserve a medal for all that work.

So, my kids and I are all losers today. It is spring break so they are home all this week and next Monday, too. Yay.:sad2: Actually, it was nice because I didn't get up until 8:30 this morning (that's what's great about having kids old enough to entertain themselves.....Who am I kidding? I taught DD when she was 3 how to turn on the tv and push the button on the vcr so I could sleep in! DD is still in her PJ's and has been on the computer downstairs off and on all day. She is either Im-ing or on myspace or itunes or all 3 at once. All while she texts friends on her cell and listens to her ipod and possible while writing in one of her many journals/notebooks. DS is watching MIB -II, but he is dressed. I am in sweats and have done 2/3 of one load of laundry and 1/2 of another (I had to hang DD's shirts to dry, and the rest is in the dryer waiting to be folded/hung) Maybe I'll go work on that------------Or maybe later:rolleyes1 Here's my new motto:

RVgal - those cupcakes were sooo cute!!:thumbsup2 I'd have had a few choice words to say after they melted if it had been me.

Nat - I love to pop zits. I blame it on my mom. She used to pop mine. DH hates it, he says it hurts (wimp). When we were first dating he had a lot of skin problems and had went to a dermatologist. He was on tetracycline for them. He worked for a small home improvement contractor over the summer. One day he sweated a ton while working outside and his whole back broke out from the dirt/sweat. The medicine dried them up really fast, but they still got the big white head on them for one day. I SOOO wanted to pop them. It's like looking at a piece of bubble wrap that some people like to pop.

My mom used to corner me and pop zits when I was in trouble. I don't live at home anymore and she still tries to do it. Old habits die hard. I don't mind popping my own zits but when she does it boy does it hurt. She really digs at em with her fingernails. Owie.

Evening Losers.

Big news - DH is getting promoted next Monday

OH -and he got into a car accident. Some guy wasn't paying attention and didn't see my DH stopped in front of him at a red light. No damage to the Pathfinder. The Mitzubishi, on the other hand, is TOTALED. (This is more thanks to our trailer hitch)

Yet another reason why I drive a huge gas guzzler.... ;)

Did the tetracycline work for him? Thinking about going to the derm. myself, I'm too old to break out!

I have said before that there is something very wrong with having wrinkles and acne at the same time. Once I am old enough to deal with wrinkles, I should be too old for acne.... but, nooooo... Mother Nature has a fine sense of humor.

OK...zit popping conversations make me :scared:

Very very busy day today. I still have to get the kids to bed so I'll be back soon....so if we're going to do the "Losers Only, Winners Need Not Apply" title...what are our rules?????

Yeah on the promotion.:yay:

Tetracycline brings up horror stories for me but I can laugh about it know.

My Ddad died when I was 22 of a heart attack. My Dmom would not sleep in the bedroom after it happened (he didnt die there just didnt want to sleep w/o him) so I slept with her on the pullout sofa. We had received lots of plants that were on the coffee table next to us.

So after the funeral we were back at the house and I was chilling out laying on the floor (my parents had given away all their funiture and was waiting delivery) so all my aunts and uncles were sitting on lawn furniture in the living room. So anyway I try to get up and I cant. I am swollen. My feet and my hands. Everyone says it is the grief setting, I am exhausted, I had been the strong one all week blah blah.

Next day is I still am swollen and achy, I decide to go to the Drs. Turns out I was bitten by a spider from one fo the DARN plants:headache:

They put me on tetracycline and it says to stay out of direct sunlight, so being dumb and 22 I thought this meant dont lay out. I go back to work and I cant wear heals or any rings as I am still swollen. My coworkers feeling bad for me take me outside on the terrace to eat lunch, I was literally out there for 15 minutes when I broke out into a huge rash. So now I am grief stricken, swollen and hivy. What a pleasant site! Luckily I worked in a hospital at the time and they walked me up to the ER. I was having a reaction to the sunlight and the tetracycline.

So there is my story about tetracycline. And believe those litttle stickers they put on your Rx bottles

Ok, first of all, the dirt just doesn't show up on camera. ;)

Secondly, aw, your poor son. Is it allergies that make him sick like that?

And lastly, I vote for Losers Only, Winners Need Not Apply with a bunch of crazy rules in the first post. Why? Because we're making fun of Winners AND the crazy rule posting thread all at one time.

Yes, and the Last Rule can be...."THERE ARE NO RULES."

I am glad he is okay from being hit. send  and :flower3:

First moment I've had all day, but here goes.

I got bit by the Winner bug and decided to make the pot 'o gold cupcakes. Let me just say that the whole "rainbow made out of Airheads" was a gigantic PITA. It took forever to cut those suckers in strips and then stick them together to form a rainbow. I spent most of yesterday afternoon doing it while I was watching the race.

I made the cupcakes, tinted the frosting green, stuck the rainbows on them and a gold wrapped chocolate. I was very proud of myself. I even put one on a party plate and took a picture to show you guys what a good job I did.

Not bad for a Loser, huh?

I got up this morning and started making breakfast. I looked at the cupcakes in my Tupperware saver and...

StPats2.jpg

Yeah, the moisture in the frosting caused the Airheads to dissolve, I guess. What a sticky mess. I quick made the most pathetic looking Rice Krispie treats EVER...

The marshmallow stuff was dark green, but by the time I mixed it with the cereal it just looked sickly. At that point, I didn't care and DS6 got to carry the snot colored treats to class. He was fine with it and is happy that all the sticky goo cupcakes are his to enjoy. Whatever.

Next time I have a Winner mom thought, I'm just going to bang my head against the wall until it leaves. :headache:

I don't mean to be mean but....can I LAUGH at this? Becasue this is so dang funny, I'm about to bust a gut......:lmao:

I'm sorry your beautiful cupcakes melted. The same thing happened to me with white icing and pretty crushed candy canes...The kids still liked them..

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: I can't stop laughing!

Oh yes, please... laugh away. I can laugh about it too now. Actually, when I mixed together the snot krispie treats, I started chuckling myself. Of course, it was kinda on the hysterical crazy woman end of chuckling... but still a good laugh. ;) :lmao:
