I just voted myself back into the LOSER club....

It's Sunday and I have only enough clean laundry for work tomorrow and the flight home but had to run out to grab dinner a block away (takeaway) so

I put on a sweater, jeans, pashmina, wool peacoat and shoes. Just that.... I don't think that anyone noticed that I was missing some key items (well, there was a Japanese tourist staring at me quite hard, but I am going to assume that he was staring at my beauty, not the fact that I wasn't wear socks or *ahem* other key items...)

I love it when my wife wears lemon chiffon key items.

On tonight's single dad agenda:

1. teaching 3yo to vacuum.
2. teaching 9yo to change her own sheets.
3. teaching 6yo to do laundry without mixing colors or overloading the washer.

Also, the 9yo asked if she could open my beer w/ bottle opener. "Of course, dear...great job!!!"

:rotfl: My DH taught my 9yo that one about 2 years ago.

Nice list, JJ!!

My 3 year old does all the vaccuuming.

My 8 year old is relagated to all doggie related chores, such as cleaning up accidents, walking the puppy, and feeding all three of them.

Both children are in charge of filling the huge cat food bowl with dry food every so often.

The laundry part -- not so much. There was a BIG tub of clean, folded laundry in DS8's room, that DS3 decided to chunk all over the room. They then proceeded to put all of the clean (now pet hair ridden) clothes onto the upstairs bathroom floor.

I was quite distraught when I saw the two loads of freshly washed laundry already in a dirty pile on the bathroom floor.

That's part of the reason I hate laundry so much. I never get to put it away before they've used it to make forts, or use them as a sled to slide down the stairs.

If I have to listen to Bon Jovi's Wanted Dead or Alive ONE MORE TIME.....

I'm gonna.....

I'm gonna.....

you know what?

I have no idea what I'll do.

BUT I know it ain't gonna be pretty!

Why are you listening to that?

My kids are terrible with the laundry too. When I tell daughter to put hers away she just throws it on the floor or on her bed. It drives me nuts.

The boys just kind of shove it in the drawer, most of it makes it. I shouldn't even fold it anymore.

The race has started. Tricia who are your favorites?

I love that game...totally kicks Guitar Hero's butt.
yes it does...we pulled out the GH III the other day...we thought it must be getting lonely since we haven't played since we bought Rockband.
Why are you listening to that?
My kids are playing Rockband....now they are playing I'm Paranoid by Garbage.... I guess it's better than Bon Jovi.:upsidedow

Yay...the race is back. I admit it...I am rooting for Kasey Kahne and the 9 car.

Oh he's such a cutie. I was gonna give you a heart smilie but he is somewhere else now.

I have never heard Garbage. I'm not sure I want to. Now see I wouldn't mind Bon Jovi as long as there was a picture of him or something.

Poor GH III he must be so sad.

I don't get the whole racing thing...why so many laps? When not just 10 and call it a day...it's not like the course changes..that would be interesting....they fly around the track and suddenly...kaBANG....the track is gravel!

I used to be into it...but not anymore.

It was always the same stuff, every week.

Driving in an oval, people running into people. Drivers getting mad at each other and threatening to B-slap someone.

Well today the track is kaBANG wet! It has made for a big wreck already. I don't really undertand racing either. I like the last 50 laps that is when it gets interesting. It is just something that I do because Husband likes it. You know Husband watches Hell's Kitchen or American Gladiator because I like them.

I watch football for the same reason. I don't really care about it. I just know that DH and DS8 looooooooooooooove it so much. So I have to root for the home team.
