Alright, home from work, kids in bed (1 sick/1 I'm sick of right now), DH snoring, and it is snowing......can we hope for a 2 hour delay please  Forgive me whilst I catch up here....

Damn squirrels!!! They got in the attic and are now digging through the ceiling in my son's room! I need to get someone in here to fix it.

Me, too, especially when I am expected to cook. Most importantly, I don't like the clean-up afterward!

I don't think I can cook tonight....too much stuff on the table and we'd have to clear it all off to eat. Hmmmm, chicken nuggets anyone--those can be eaten anywher? What would I do without those?

So, what do you all use as your go-to when you aren't cooking real food?
Chicken nuggets are the stand by here
.

We have a pizza place that Sundays/Tuesdays cheese pizza's are $2.50 so cheap eats and I don't have to cook....I even ask for paper plates!

Hey HRH...they just showed the Newfoundland. What a gorgeous dog.

Did Slobbermouth ever make it over from the old thread? Or is he still over there drooling on the laundry I left in a basket next to the laundry machine?

LOVE puppies/dogs but didn't get one because I don't want something else I have to be responsible for  We have 1 cat (Houdini) which we love but he is self sufficient and other having to put out food/water once in awhile, he lets us know what he wants. I couldn't handle the walking, etc. that is attached to being a dog owner but I have always wanted a little springer spaniel. Grew up with an Irish Setter named Snoopy.

Morning Losers!

We got ice overnight, but no delay or anything. Should be a joyful drive in to work. :headache:

Then I have to play catch up since I was out for a couple of days.

I'm still not completely well, but seem to be better this morning than I 've been in a while.

Sheer ice outside and NO SCHOOL  I will be dropping the little buggers off later and going in to work late for a few hours. DD is still moaning and not feeling well, DS is up and raring to go.

We got ice and heavy rain. When I first checked it said two hour delay but one website said revaluating at 7:15 so I crawled back into bed but hen DS5 who I usually have to wake gets up at 7;15 so I just checked and they are in the process of closing Errrr so now both home and it isnt fun stuff to throw them outside to play in. But the nun better get her act together, she still has us at a 2 hour delay but if the public is closed so are we same buses.

At least DS10 has a religion project he has to work on, but he is grounded from his Wii bc yesterday he didnt attach the wristband tight enough and the controller and went flying and crashed (luckily didnt break) into the window. I could still let him play Playstation right so he wont drive me up a wall;) but not WEbkinz bc theyn mommy had to give up the PC:surfweb:

Morning LOSERS, it's a lovely day here today........................................NOT
It's rainy & extremely windy
storm.gif
The weather alert that came on my computer says that the wind gust are 30 - 40 mphs. So we had a fun time taking #1DS to school along the obsticle course of broken tree limbs, recycling bins and rolling trash cans.
I'm not leaving my house until we have to pick up #1DS from school.
Oh yeah and the lights keep diming like we are gonna lose power :scared1: I might have to do something productive around the house if that happens.

Morning Losers!

Woke up to 48 degrees and pea soup fog. Turned on the weather report to find out that we have already reached our high for today. Wind advisory, cold front a'coming... blah.

I'm still trying to clean up around here because today and tomorrow is all I have. DH & I leave for Daytona (hopefully) after I drop DS6 off at kindergarten Friday morning. Then, the boys are in the hands of the grandparents for almost 4 days. :woohoo:

I won't be around much today or tomorrow, then I'll be gone until Tuesday. Try not to forget me... :sad1:

Morning all...high today is going to be 57 and sunny with only light 5-10 mph winds. Stupid high pressure system. I want the weather you guys are having. I want snow and rain. It's too damn dry out here.

I am hoping today is better than yesterday. At least I have a basketball game to go to tonight.

My fave bred is the Shetland Sheepdog. We had one when I was a small child, she died when I wa 5. If I ever have a home or at least a good sized apartment I want a Sheltie. But I just thought the beagle was so cute.
I have two shelties. Love them, but they shed a ton and are sometimes barkers. Mostly just when someone comes to the door, but occasionally out in the yard and once or twice when the wii remote 'talks' (Big Brain Academy):rotfl:
Beagles are adorable. My neighbors have had 2 and they are awful howlers when left alone in the backyard. I think they need lots of people attention?:confused3 Sadly, I think they took both to the shelter because they couldn't handle that responsibility.
Yes, the Bernese are beautiful, the colors are really gorgeous..and they have the best disposition..and my kind of exercise level...none. Even though they are working dogs, they are happy just to lay around the house all day...just like me! Wow, we may have found an official dog of the Loser club
My shelties are definitely spoiled, indoor dogs. They have each other to play with so that helps, and a fairly large yard to run around in, too. But right now one is laying at my feet and the other is in his bed under the table. (My kind of dogs--i trained them well!) Positions change frquently during the day, but are just relocations. It is supposed to be up to 31 & sunny today so they will enjoy being outside for a while.

On a sad note: we are out of chocolate chip cookies. :sad1: There were several left last night when I went to bed, but only one was there this morning--yep, I ate it. Is it bad that kids eat cookies for breakfast? She ate oatmeal, too, so it should be ok, right?

I think you should post some pics of your doggies.

Mornin', losers. No tornado blew me away last night, but there's still hope for today. It is gross outside. I think I'll put the kids in front of a movie and try to do some toybox sorting today. I have got to downsize all the crap in their room. :sad2:

Are you going to the Daytona 500? My BIL was coming with his girlfriend and she backed out, so he's trying to get my husband to go with him. Oddly enough, my DH doesn't really want to go. :confused3

Hey! Made it in safely...I even have somewhere for you to play if you want to:

Oh, no. :sad2:

I think you should post some pics of your doggies.

Here's one, but it's not very good. They are awaiting the treats in their stockings.
Christmas001.jpg

The black/white one is Orion, but we call him Oreo and the sable/white is Cassiopeia but we call her Cassi.
I would have to take some time to search thru the pics and they are all on the other computer. DH just called and is pressuring me to meet him at the gym. I guess I will go, but not because I WANT to! Oh well, I guess it's good for me....

Later, losers!

Love those celestial names! Mine's registered name is Travis' Stellar Performance..Stella for short.:) (Travis was her daddy's name)

Oh my gosh they are so adorable. I have never seen a bi-color sheltie before. Only the blue merle and the sable. Our sheltie when I was younger was a sable sheltie. She could have been a show dog...except for one ear. It didn't flop forward like the other one and stood straight up and my parents never had it fixed. Oh well...she was a spoiled house pet.

Have you guys checked out this Bridezilla thread..the bride-to-be and another poster are sorta going at it...she is very stressed...

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1720177

I saw that...I think the others just need to cut her a bit of slack. Her wedding is less than a month away and she is stressing. If I were here I would be stressing too. Heck a friend is getting married next October and she is already stressing. Though I think everyone on the thread needs to just step back and take a deep breathe.

What about the poster who said she treats invites that she gets like junk mail? If I were in her family I wouldn't invite her to anything.

OMGosh the Bridezella thing got closed. I felt bad for her at first but then she did get a little wacky about people telling her to relax.

Ok if I hear mom one more time today and it is only 1:34. I am going to scream. It is like both of my kids have become helpless and they have no clue where anything is.

Get the kid zapper thing and put it on the table next to you. ;)

I love that my kids still do naps. :yay:

They've been playing the "throw away anything small enough to fit in the trash can" game today. I've been chasing them around extracting things from the garbage all morning. :sad2: Monsters.
