Ugh we just got back from shopping. I need a drink. I dont know who was worse the kids or DH. Although it was kind of amusing watching him try to manuever the shopping cart and getting all frustrated. He actually tried to open a door to take DS5 out to the car with the shopping cart and when the door was too heavy he was annoyed ( I was standing at the register snickering, saying in my head "welcome to my world", is that wrong:rolleyes1 :lmao: )

So then bc we only had donuts for lunch we tried to go to Bucca Di Peppo (chain Italian place) except the kids werent hungry until after their meals came:headache: and both were struggling to behave so we got most of it wrapped to go.

Now the clincher, my mom calls during the meal to tell me that the Army might not let my cousin get married in June bc of a field operation. So we have our whole Disney trip planned around this wedding. So we have no idea and neither does my aunt as this point know what is going on. SO DH is now PO some more bc depending on when they switch stuff we may not be able to go, btw school for both kids (I dont mind pulling them out but it depends when), DS5's graduation from preschool, and DH doesnt know if he can take time from work. ERRRRRRRRR! Or if they do it in July there is no way DH will go to Disney, it was hard enough to convince him to go in June bc of the heat. I am so bummed.

Somebody stop me before I kill my son. Seriously, he started the day with a major temper tantrum because we told him to get dressed for church. Then he sat next to me during the service. It's really hard to not think bad things in church when he can't seem to sit still or stop leaning on me! Then DD had confirmation class but DS Sunday School was cancelled for an Easter egg hunt for the little ones. I told him he's 10, almost 11--too big. So we had to take him with us for our Sunday coffee at the Starbucks in SuperTarget. I was not happy with that. Usually its just DH& I and we get peace and quiet and I pick up whatever it is I feel I need. He couldn't sit still there, either, so I started sending him over to the potatoes to get what kind I wanted, then I sent him back for the other kind, then again for the 1st one, then those were too green....It went like that for several trips but at least he was away from me! Ever since we've been home he's been laying on me and it's driving me INSANE!!!!!

Sooo...

TFS--isn't super glue great? That reminds me of the time DH tried to cut his thumb off with a coping saw. He didn't want stitches (baby) so we just got out the butterfly bandages. It hasn't been the same since, but he doesn't dare complain to me because I will not hesitate to say "I told you to get stitches!" Oh, and did DN notice the replacement fish? Did you tell him?

IAHD--Yay on giving up working nights/weekends!:cool1:

MK--I do not envy your shopping spree. I have to take DD shopping for a dress. This is my girl who thinks wearing jeans without holes and her hoodie (a dress hoodie to her) without words is good enough for church!

Oh, and as I was contemplating that dress shopping trip to the mall this afternoon DS asked if he could go along to get his ear pierced!:confused3 WTH did that come from. Frankly, I don't care if he does, but 1. He's still only 10, 2. I think he might cry/chicken out at the last minute and then I'd be upset that I went all the way to the mall for that. and 3. My mom says she will shoot me if I let him.

Welcome new losers! I am newish here, too, but it's a good group!

Mornin'. It's not only rainy here today, but hot and rainy. Ummmm I can't remember what else I was going to say. My brain is sleeping in.
:lmao: I like that brain sleeping in.... And I am having a hard time pitying you for your hot rainy weather. It is cold here today (30ish) and the next 2 days are supposed to be cold and rainy all day, too.:sad2: I need SPRING!

My way of doing a quick cleaning job is hiding things in closets, and stuffing papers in drawers
I bough scrap book stuff about 7 years ago, and it is still exactly as I bought it! :rotfl2: I could go on and on, but won't bore you all...
No, please go on, we like to hear stories.... And I see absolutely nothing wrong with throwing things in closets to clean:confused3

And to top all this offf, my kids are home until NEXT Tueasday for spring break and we have nowhere to go and nothing planned. I am going to be in a straightjacket before the week is over

Shore, I'm glad your son was a trooper and got treated with minimum fuss. I've had 2 trips to the ER with DS6, but they were both for seizures and we got an ambulance ride there.

I have to make dinner soon. I'm making my Sunday dinner and my Monday dinner at the same time. I'm throwing a chicken in for tonight and boiling up tomorrow's corned beef. I know the church says that we can't celebrate St. Patrick's day on St. Patrick's day this year, but I figure we'd be ok if I skipped the booze but cooked the corned beef.

I'm confused. Isn't the whole saint thing Catholic? So why is the church saying you can't celebrate? I'm not Catholic, but planning my corned beef and cabbage meal for tomorrow. Am I gonna burn???

I have actually said "Welcome to my world" to my husband when he would be in a situation like that.

I hope that the wedding plans stay in place and your Disney plans don't get ruined. :guilty:

 Don't kill your son. You would go to jail and then you couldn't DIS and we would miss you.

Do you guys have a head count of how many are on this thread? It may take me a while to keep everyone straight

We should have a head count. Lara? We are only 11 pages from eviction. Do we have to pick moving buddies? (I've been watching Toy Story)

Shore, I'm glad that he was able to get the glue. We have had stitches and staples here. They are not fun.

I have done a whole lot of nothing today.

Tomorrow is spring cleaning with my friend. I can't wait to get rid of all of the stuff. I'm sure my husband will be too.

Make sure you don't toss him out with all the other stuff..:rotfl:

Here's what we had for our formal Sunday dinner:

Went by the kitchen and my candy/potato chip eating son was eating the other half of his sub from lunch..without being told to eat it instead of cookies...he does things like that every once in a while just to drive me crazy.

DS8 found the coffe cake DH and I have been eating. He helped himself to a very large piece, so I raced to fix him some mac and cheese while he was eating it so he would have something before he felt full. He ate about 1/2 of it.

DH came home from working this afternoon, and had the last mini hamburger leftover from Applebee's last night. I fixed him a chicken wrap w/leftover grilled chicken, cheese, and lettuce on a tortilla..What a wonderful woman I am..

I am still full from my late lunch of hot and sour soup and egg roll from the Yummy House. yes, I would eat from a place called the Yummy House. Their soup is great. I will probably have a bag of micro popcorn with my drinkie poo after everyone has their bath. maybe I'll have that drink before.

Has anyone noticed that we talk about drinking a lot on this thread? Why is that?

I still haven't gotten anything done from the list I had a few posts back. I mixed the cookie dough from a pouch, I have it chilling so I can cut it into shamrocks. I wanted to skip icing, asked DS if I could make the cookie green..he says no, cookie white, icing green..I hope one can is enough.

I'm the bestest mommy ever! I made cheese manicotti and garlic bread for dinner. DS6 ate 2 manicottis and DS2 ate 1, plus the bread. I was informed that I am the bestest mommy ever. :goodvibes

RV...Today began holy week..you're not supposed to do anything celebratory. Oh, and by the way, I don't know if we accept "best mommies" here...I'm wretty sure only mean and rotten mommies are allowed.

We are close to moving...I guess we need to think of our next title. Start grabbing your trash bags and throw the stuff you want to move into them...leave the actual trash on the floor...we're getting rid of this place "as is"...I don't even begin to have the energy to clean.

I've got my moving buddy.... Absolut Man.

Now, if only I could find that darn key, I can unlock him from the dungeon....

Oh. There it is! Right next to the poop painting....

Let's have a yard sale before we go...what do you think we can get for this stuff?

Thank goodness we are moving and leaving the poop behind.

I'm off to settle everyone in for the night, so I'll check in again tomorrow!

someone make sure they leave me a trail of bread crumbs when we move please. I am working in the am and by the time I get home the whole move thing will be over. I will have DH John move the heavy things for us.
