Hey, losers. Are you trying to set a record for reaching the 250 page mark, or are you all just really bored?

IAHD, don't you hate it when they're all sick at once? Give them an extra hug today. :grouphug:

Holy Smokes, I posted on this thread on page 3 or 4 this afternoon. There's no way for me to read all the intervening pages of loser stories. I'm sorry. Thanks for the welcome. Bavaria, I'm more into gender confusion, and less into gender clarification.

Hello, Jack-Jack. :) Did you and your wife succesfully keep your toddler from wandering the streets last night? ;)

School nurse just called - BOTH are sick now :headache:

DD5 walked into the nurses office and said "my brother gave it to me"

Nothing like sharing

They called DS6 down to re-check and although he wants to stay, they "suggested" that I give him another 24 hours :sad2:

Thank God for my in-laws!!!! They are going to pick both of them up ad bring them home so I can finish my work (and making up yesterdays missed hour). They live a mile away from us so they have been very handy to have around :thumbsup2 My husband got the evil MIL :scared1:

We were typing at the same time, so I missed this. Sorry about your kidlets, I hope they feel better soon. When it rains, it pours..

ugh..that energy drink tasted terrible, and now I feel like I'm going to puke. How is that energizing?

:lmao: I'm sorry that was funny. I can actually hear my DD doing the exact same thing

 Hope they both feel better soon.

No apologies necessary, I laughed when the nurse told me  She started the sentence with "she's so cute, she came in...."

At least they are sharing--that means you are a winner mom, right?

I was a winner last night. Made dinner, did our taxes, and made chocolate chip cookies (I felt I deserved them after we did the taxes and I was freezing so I turned on the oven to warm it up in here!)

Today I am going to go to the gym  and then see if I can find a Valentine's card for DH. I need to do laundry, but thankfully everyone has lots of undies so it can wait, and DH's work shirts need to be ironed. (Nope, not a winner there. He has enough shirts so that I don't have to iron but once every 4-6 weeks!) I vacuumed yesterday so I am good for a while. I actually used to be one of those winners who vacuumed everyday--what was I thinking?

I just had an idea:idea: What if I re-wash the wrinkle free shirts (you know, the ones that sat in the dryer for a day or more and aren't really wrinkle free anymore) and then dry and hang right away? Maybe then I won't have to iron those! Anyone ever do that???

We sure did! On the advice the DIS and a parenting brochure I picked up at the CPS office, I slept on the floor outside her door. And I piled a bunch of pots and pans around her bed so I'd know if she got up, which she did. She was somewhat confused by this new arrangement.

Mmmmm those waffles were good. Now I got to burn all that off by cleaning.........................................................................wait aren't you supposed to wait an hour after eating before any strenuous work?

I would wait 2 just to be sure you don't pull anything or cramp up

That sounds like an awful lot of work. Maybe you should just get her a cell phone and have her check in every hour so she can have a little midnight freedom.

Can I vent? Just for a couple minutes? Please?

So I work as a receptionist for a technology firm that handles staffing needs for the two major government labs in my state. These labs are Sandia National Labs and Los Alamos National Labs. Occassionally we have investigators come in to look at employee files and such for background and security clearance investigations. Well this morning I met a real witch of an investigator.

We have a new LANL employee from Idaho and she is doing his clearance investigation. She decided to only tell him and to use our conference room. She made him drive 2 hours from LANL in morning traffic but never called our office to see if our conference room was free. He shows up early...that is fine by me...I thought he was meeting with Jennifer our HR gal for LANL. So the investigator arrives and I question the meeting since I am always told when our HR people are meeting with investigators and I heard nothing about this. I start to question her about it because that is my job and she got so rude and snippy with me. She barged past me into our conference room and shut the door.

Then Jennifer got here and went in there and she got rude with Jennifer. Now Jennifer is a tough cookie so she went off on this girl and then went and told our security officer. And then the head of HR got here and he got an earful from Jennifer. So whoever this investigator is...she is in for a world of hurt when she is done. That is the only comfort I am getting from this...she is going to be in trouble.

Did you have a nice air mattress at least to lay on? Perhaps you need to build a fence around her bed with a locking gate. Besides if all of your pots and pans are in her room what do you cook with?

You have to love it when people are nasty and get in trouble for it.

Hello we need to introduce Jack Jack to the drive thru:thumbsup2

I am sorry you are delaing witht hat witch but at least she is paying the price for her tude:woohoo:

Ok not a drop of snow here YET, although if you look at the doppler it is coming, yet the school is closing at NOON. Both kids are going to be home and the next door neighbor kids are going to someone elses house so now mine will be driving me up a wall. Maybe the teacher will load him up on homework so he wont bother me:rolleyes1 Is that so wrong?

Ok I let my breakfast settle alittle (not a full hour though) and did the dishes. Rewarded myself by moving pictures and designs around into new folders on the computer.

Of course it's not wrong. You are only thinking of what's best for your child. Missing a half day of school might stunt his intellectual growth. The only way to make up for it is with extra homework.

We are gonna be getting all the lovely wind (over 20mph) and rain in that storm. Looks like it will be starting just as school is let out :headache: (I don't know why that still surprises me) and continue all day tomorrow. The only good thing about all the rain is I was just saying that I needed to wash my car & now I don't :woohoo: . :lmao: I wonder if I go out as soon as it starts raining and pour alittle of the soap you use to wash cars (name escapes me) does that count as cleaning it?

ahhh rationalization is wonderful thing.:lmao:

DH just uses dishwashing soap.

I just hope no two hour delays or closings tomorrow.

Hi loser friends...crazy day here. This is the first chance I've had to get on-line. The girl is out for the day for the election and I kept the boy home because they're saying rotten weather this afternoon and I didn't want DH to have to drive in the terrible traffic with my terribly behaved son.

So I've been entertaining the children, we did the valentines day cards for school, I took them both with me and voted (what was I THINKING!), then I took them down to the playground at our beach (I'm in a private community with our own beaches). Of course, it's about 20 degree's outside...and we were right on the Bay, and then it started snowing....hmmmm, am I a bad mommy for letting the kids play outside in those conditions? I figured it was safer for them to do that for fifteen minutes than for me to strangle them for driving me nuts cooped up in the house.

Hmmmm.....I don't know....I'm thinking that with the average IQ of Disers children, she should have been able to calibrate a high suspention bridge that she could make out of excess hair and snot and climb over the pots without alerting you. She must be slow.;)
