I'll be 31 in June. I'm 3 years older than you. But see, it's different for you, because you're still in your 20's. You haven't hit that big three - oh yet.

When I turned 30, it wasn't a big deal to me at all. But 31 is kinda freaking me out. Because then I'll BE IN my thirties. No more "oh I just turned 30." I will soon be among the thirty-something crowd.

My BFF was just commenting on this yesterday. She will be 39 on Sun and she is kind of freakin out and I said why, next year is the big one, And she said no bc she will no longer be in her thirties after this year.

Ahhhhhhh that was the nicest commissary shopping trip I have had in God knows how many years I even got done 30 minutes faster than when the kids are with me & I even got to get snacks for ME

I would say my house is probably between 5 & 6

I love my MIL I'll share her with all of you with bad ones.

I drove thru for my free McSkillet this morning. Did anyone else? There was a line so, if you didn't all the people in line made up for you.

My McDonald's has a double drive thru. Both lines were backed up to the entrance. You couldn't turn into the parking lot until the line moved forward.

I quickly decided that free food was not that important and went to BK for a $1 sausage croissanwich. I had already committed to drive thru for breakfast, so I just switched the plan.

I went too, no line but it was about 6:50 this morning. Of course the drive thru, even had to move forward and wait for my OJ.

Must you mention dieting? I had forgotten my new-found cholestoral problem and just ate a bunch of potato chips.

It wasn't until you mentioned the dreaded D-word that I remembered.

Man am I glad I don't have a MIL.

I have to say, I LOVE my inlaws - they are very laid back, non-interferring people. Christmas they spend about $2000 on my kids - give or take

I'm was reading that "Love the 80's" thread, and laughing hysterically.

And then I began to realize that I'm getting old...

1st I want to say that I do not think that I am old - I am 35 - buuutttt, last night I was selling an engagement ring to a man and when he was paying I happened to see a hospital baby picture in his wallet. The date was from month/07. So we're talking, I ask how long he's been with his SO and then I ask if that picture was his child. He then tells me how "no, it's my grandson" This was my face Because this guy was the SAME age as me!!! I told him he has officially made me feel ancient because my kids are only 5 & 6 and I could NOT imagine having GRANDCHILDREN now!!!

We've had an eventful morning here...

woke up at 9:22AM - yup, kids have to be at school for 8:10AM Thought about not sending DD as she gets out at 11AM but I figure then I won't get ANYTHING done so I sent her too....at least she won't get an absence

So this was yesterdays morning. DS tells me how when his teacher asked him why he was late he told her "Mommy was sleeping in" I had to explain the difference between over sleeping, not hearing/setting the alarm and sleeping in Yup, winner mom there

It's just that sometimes I'll be reminded of something...and then realize: OMG, that was TWENTY years ago?!?!? Seems like only yesterday...
