We are going on a land and sea vacation in early May. I was wondering what type of room we will have. On the ship we have a verandah, I was wondering if we will have a full balcony at the resort as well. I did request it through Disney but was not sure if it was an automatic thing. We would really be disappointed without a balcony. Also what type of view are we likely to get. I heard most of the the land and sea guests are placed together for easier baggage collection. We also have the Disney transportation booked and would like to get to the ship early and would like to know what time the earliest bus leaves for the port and do we have to reserve spots on the bus. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure the DCL rooms are "Run of the House", meaning it could be anything from a wonderful waterview to one of the standard rooms with standing only balcony (and there are also some rooms that do'nt even have a balcony at all and look over the roof). When you check-in, ask for a room with a full balcony, and as long as your aren't terribly concerned wth the view it shouldn't be a problem. A lot will depend on how busy they are.

You don't need to "reserve" a spot on the bus, and I would get downstairs about 10-15 minutes before they tell you to be there so taht you can be on that bus. They'll tell you either when you check-in or when you get your docs what time the busses will be running.
