Land and sea travelers.....

I have a packing question......we are going for 4 nights to WDW and 3 nights cruise....we live in Florida.
How do you pack?


Two different bags - one for each trip?

Enough clothes for the 7 day trip?

Enough clothes for 4 days and do laundry in between?



Please advise!

You have a definite advantage as you already live in Florida - so you know what to pack for the land days. I would suggest that you bring enough clothing for the whole 7 days as you won't want to miss anything on your cruise doing laundry. You will need to pack dressier clothes for dinner on the ship so you will need a garment bag (in all likelihood) If you buy T-Shirts as souvenirs, pack a couple less shirts as you won't need them. Hope this helps but I am a chronic overpacker - but always prepared for anything

When we drove down and I had divided up the clothing - one bag each for the time we spent on land, and one each for the cruise portion. That way no dirty clothes were with the clean ones and I didn't have to lug a suitcase with dirty clothes since I just left it in the van!!

I certainly would NOT spend anytime in the laundry room except to iron something and then I always bring my own iron along!!

Part of the "fun" of returning from the cruise is the laundry separation toss that we all do together - sort of a family fun event (NOT!)

We also did one bag for each leg of the trip - and one common bag with shoes and incidentals that went both places.

It worked out perfectly.

We do 1 bag for each part of the trip and a common bag for stuff that goes both places. If we feel like it we stop on the way to the parks and do laundry. If not, it is not a big deal since we still have clean stuff for the parks.
