Hello all,
I realize this report is a little late but we spent some extra time in Orlando afterwards for some fun in the 95 degree Universal Sun. (Glad they have a parking garage!!!)
The Cast
Me, Jonathan-23
Karen-21.
I don't think I will spend much time about the land portion, except for the fact we had a chance to discover Disney Quest (which rules) and the water parks (which also rule).
First time staying onsite and learned a valuable lesson. Don't eat on Disney property unless you have no other options. This comment refers to hotels and not the parks.
Two OJ's, one Mickey waffle and one omelette=17.35$

The Cruise.
May 4/03.
We arrived at the Port at 11:30 and checked in. We had to do this since we are non-US citizens. Had photo taken with Goofy and then got in line, pretty far back considering how early we got there.
As soon as the announcement was made to embark, the line went incredibly smooth. Having never been on any cruise before, we did not know how good it was until we spoke to some veteran cruisers in line with us.
Proceeded to first Photo OP. A very poor one. I mean really, a photo in front of a sign stating the date of departure, how lame.
Then went to Parrot Cay for an excellent embarkation buffet. Lots of choices and everything seemed fresh. (I usually am very apprehensive about buffets)
Proceeded to stateroom, Cat 11. Beautiful room. Met our room steward who knew our names. Very shocked by his effort to retain our names. Not sure how many rooms each steward has but that is impressive regardless.
Discovered the ship, snapping photos every ten seconds.
We then attended to welcome aboard magic and comedy show with John Ferentino. Very funny fella, enjoyed the show immensely.
Then on to dinner at Triton's. We were assigned table 18 with three. I am pretty sure Disney did that on purpose and I am thankful for that.
Steve from Trinidad, our server (Wonderful server) and Adem from Croatia, our assistant server (very efficient).
Pretty tired that night so we adjourned to our stateroom to retire for the evening. We found our first Towel Animal. An Elephant with Karen's sunglasses. Love those Towel Animals.

Highlights of Day 1
-Food glorious food. Had the duck at Triton's and it was superb. Karen had the beef tenderloin in a peppercorn sauce which was also amzing
-John Ferentino's show. Funny guy.
-Our room steward and the Towel Animals
Lowlights of Day 1
-Lack of Photo Op's by Disney in front of the actual ship.

Stay tuned for Day 2!
