Hi! My DS and I are going on our first Disney cruise in March. We are cruising first then spending a couple days at WDW, staying at POP. We are also going to go to Kennedy Space Center when we get off ship before heading to Disney Springs and our resort for the night. My plan has been to rent a car at MCO and keep it for the whole week, paying to park at Port Canaveral. But I just had a thought, could I use Disney Transportation from MCO to port and then Uber to Kennedy Space Center and to Disney Springs/POP and Magical Express back to MCO for our return home thus saving the car rental, parking fees and driving hassle. But my only question is luggage, is there a way to send luggage on to our Disney resort and not have to take to KSC with us? Could I use Disney transportation from the port to our Resort to get the luggage there and then just not get on the bus? Would that work? Any other thoughts on this plan? Should I stick with the original car rental plan? Thanks for any advise.

Luggage doesn't go automatically from the ship. Passengers must collect it in the terminal before going through Customs. I don't think they would let you put the luggage on a bus and walk away.

Have you considered DCL transfers from MCO -> port and then a one-way car rental post-cruise? Depending on the size of your party, how long is your cruise and the rental costs + parking, it may cost less.

Enjoy your cruise!

What if you rented a car for the day, take your luggage with you to Kennedy, then return it at WDW?
