Lame re-entry passes

Last week (8/29) my family was in the FP return line for TT and it broke down. After awhile a cast member walked by and handed them each an "Epcot Attraction RE-ENTRY PASS" (capitalization as in original). This ticket was good for admission that day through the FP line at one of the following attractions: Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Maelstrom, and Mission:Space. As HISTA and Maelstrom never have a line this time of year (well, Maelstrom might get one during a torrential rain) and TT was spewing out "surprise" FP for MS (good immediately!) all week, we all thought this was pretty lame. What do y'all think? Anyone else get one? P.S. The ride did come back up and they eventually got to ride after about 45 minutes.

Usually when TT breaks down, they just make us wait. One time they gave us FPs that they said we could bring back anytime.

I've never gotten the pass you're speaking of, but would be a little disappointed if I didn't get a pass to get back on the very ride that broke down.

We got those passes from a cast member a few weeks ago. We were walking into Imagination and the cast member asks my daughter how many were in our party and she gave us four. She said she doesn't give them to everybody, but we looked nice so she thought she would give them to us. I thought it was very nice. We actually only used two of them - my son and his girlfriend used them on Maelstrom. I think they said the standby line at the time was 30 minutes.

I've not gotten one for Epcot, but for MK, which was more useful. I'm not sure what the OP was expecting. Personally, I thought it was pretty cool to be given anything. At other Amusement parks they don't give out fastpasses if a ride is down. You're just out of luck. I suppose part of the problem is that Epcot only has these few attractions that ever get longer lines. The broader reality is that Epcot needs a few more e-rides - especially in the WS.

Well they wouldn't give you a pass to the broken-down ride as they could not be sure the ride would be up again that day. I think a pass of any kind is a very generous gesture.
