Has anyone ever heard of this place? As per the reservation clerk, it used to be Best Western. In any event, it has a full kitchen, outdoor heated pool, play ground. I made some reservations for this resort. However, I still have my reservations for Studio Plus, which is directly across the street from Univeral Studios. Just wondering if anyone has every experienced this Lake Cecile (formerly Best Western). I need to know if I should cancel my reservations.

Please help! (By the way I have been the studio plus, nice). Just don't have outdoor pool.
Very anxious. Trip begins June 16th. Hopping up and down waiting for your response!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Well, I don't know any specificis about this hotel, I do know Lake Cecile area is further away that I would want to be from the parks.

Isn't the Studio Plus a very new hotel and I think this BW has been around while.

Are you planning to just go to Universal or visit Disney too?

Herc.

This is a former Resisdence Inn - the kind with the cedar-sided two-story units that look like apartments or a ski lodge. Then it was Best Western and now it is independent. I haven't seen the inside, so I can't comment.

As for being too far from the parks, it's 4 miles from the hotel to Disney property via 535 and 536. I've stayed in that vicinity before and it certainly didn't seem too far to me.

We stayed here in april of this year, If you dont care about anything but sleeping, then its ok. I probably would not stay there again. Very old hotel badly in need of refurb. It was for the most part clean.

Beds were not very comfortable, and the pillows were very flat.

It is right on the highway, so there is some road noise.

As far as being to far away from the parks, it only took us about 10 minutes (give or take) to get there, traffic was never a problem.
