I just posted this as a reply to someone else, but thought I would also post it here as I have a ton of photos of the resort which I thought might be useful

We stayed there in March this year... It was my first time staying in an apartment type property and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. The furnishings were lovely... huge sofa bed with 2 big comfy armchairs to sink into, a dining table to seat 6 and a massive plasma TV with a good range of chanels plus free internet access... You just needed to get a lead from reception to connect as there was no wireless in Building 2. The masterbedroom is stunning, with a gorgeous jacuzzi tub, double sinks, and a rather large and impressive shower cubicle which had fantastic water pressure! Everything in the apartment was spotless and the kitchen was really well equipped. From what I can remember, there was a small assortment of dish soap, dishwasher powder and dishclothes when we arrived, along with toilet rolls and tea towels. Everything else we needed we bought from Walmart just across the road which worked out much more cost effective than buying from the store onsite which was quite expensive but OK if you just needed a few bits and pieces. The kitchen had plenty of cooking untensils and a full size hob/oven, microwave and fridge/freezer should you want to cook a full meal in the apartment and there was TONS of space. We stayed in a 3 bed/2 bath on the ground floor in building 2. Not great for a view of the fireworks from your room, but we were at the parks most evenings for fireworks anyhow... and it was a plus being on the ground floor for unloading luggage... we just parked the car up outside our apartment and hoisted the cases over the railings to the verendah.

You have to keep in mind that this is an apartment build, so you don't get the same services as you would in a hotel (ie towel changes, housekeeping - unless you pay extra, and room service)... I have read some negative reviews about this, but if you go knowing you're not going to get these services, then you won't be disappointed.

We loved it there... The onsite gym is well equipped and the small pool that was open when we went was good enough for our needs, although it did get crowded but I believe the theme pool is about to open anytime now which from what we could tell, looked huge! The Irish bar onsite is a nice way to end the evening having a few drinks, but we found the food there hit and miss. We ate there on the day we arrived and had a great meal... ate there a week later, and it was appalling and we had the whole check for meals and drinks (and we drank alot) for 7 of us taken care of!! It had not long opened and I think they had some staffing issues. Someone who has been more recently will probably be able to advise better.

Have a great time!!

Lobby and Reception *This building had only just opened a few days previously, so had very little furniture in place which they were stocking just before we left)

We're not actually booked to stay here until October so I can't answer your question. However, I wanted to let people know who were considering staying here to try the Orlando Magic Card rate. It was much better than any other rate that we got (but if anyone got a better one, I'd love to know that too!). I also saw on their website that the Pirate Theme pool is now open! Here's hoping that it turns out to be as great as it looks!
