There are no value rooms available for July 18. On July 19 we are switching to WL. Disney Reservations sent us to Lake Buena Vista Best Western. Has anyone stayed there? Tell me I didn't make a big mistake. I really had my heart set on a value!!

(By the way this is my 1000th post!!:cool1:  :scared1: )

As Previously Posted, WDW has no value rooms on 7-18-08 available at any of the value resorts. DH just got off the phone with them and there is only one moderate resort that had any availability. POR. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
Cast member did say that all deluxes had opening though. :thumbsup2 Which is good since we check into WL on the next day!

We stayed there on our very 1st trip & liked it. And have stayed there before & last night on a few trips. Are you using DME, I am questioning this since Disney mentioned LBVBW. If not we have gotten this hotel twice with priceline for around $35, there is no quantee on what you will get but we always do PL for our first night.

We called the 407-934-7639 number. I guess that is the Disney number. I found it in Birnbaums guidebook since DS was on the computer at the time I needed to look it up.:confused3

Is this the one in DTD?
We've stayed there and actually liked it better than the Values. Especially the Disney view rooms. It was a very nice, clean hotel.

It is not part of the Disney resorts though, so DME won't work. Sorry!

We are driving down so DME isn't a problem. It is the one in DTD. We are pretty excited now thinking we will be right next to DTD. We'll get up early to check into the WL and then head back to Disney for DD BBB appt. at noon.
Thanks for everyone's input!

We just stayed there on June 22-24. For one night, it would be fine. However, I would never spend my entire vacation there. The room smelled musty and smokey and just, overall, felt a little dirty. They wouldn't let us check in until 3:00 PM on the dot, and the swimming pool was rather small for the size of the hotel.

On the plus side, there is a Disney gift shop in the lobby and the shuttle busses to the park were quick and timely. It is close to DTD, but not close enough to walk. If I were doing it again, I might choose the Hilton. It is directly across the street from DTD and looked a little nicer than Best Western.

Hope this helped. Have fun!

I actually stayed there 3 nights for a training conference In January. It's OK...I wouldn't want to spend my whole vacation there, but it's fine for one night.

The room I was in was a bit outdated, but I think they're remodeling so I don't know what the rooms are like now. It's about a 5 minute drive to DTD, a bit far to walk I think.

...hope this helps :thumbsup2

We walked to DTD quite a few times. Takes about 15-20min but we love to get exercise and avoid parking hassels there.

To us it was neat to see DTD at night and EPCOT from our balcony. It was the next best thing to staying on-site w/ a view of the parks and less money. Our only stay onsite at the values (Movies) we had a room that was smokey and dirty. Not what I expected of a Value. I guess everyone has a different expereince. We happen to luck out staying at BW - DTD the 3 times we stayed there.

We just returned from our vacation and stayed here for 6 nights. It wasnt the Ritz, but it served the purpose. It did smell a little musty, but we kept the A/C on all the time. It is a convenient walk to DTD. There is a supermarket and restaurants in walking distance in the opposite direction. We bought a styrofoam cooler and were able to have cereal and our own coffee in the morning. We also purchased items to make sandwiches to bring to the park.
The shuttle buses were prompt and easy to use. It made the commute to all of the parks.
Dont even try to check in before 3;00 pm They are very rigid about that as previously mentioned.
We werent thrilled with the in house restaurant. the food wasnt that good. They automatically charge 15%, even on the buffet in the morning. We found everyone to be friendly and helpful.

We were satisfied with our stay.
