Laissez les bon temps Rouler...Feb 2010 2/20 MK Last part of the Night updt 9/70 pg65

I always get teary-eyed watching LMA too. Oh wait, no I don't.

I really liked it the first time, but now that I've seen it probably 3 times, I can take it or leave it for a while.

The first time I saw lma was my last pre-scooter trip. I had my cane but only used it sporadically. I walked very, very slowly. Danny and the boys (with my cane in the backpack) took off at their typical high speed clip and walked about 2/3 of the way up the steps. You know....the steps in the middle that have no handrail :sad2:. By the time I got to where they were I thot if I could work up the energy that I would die. I sat there desperately trying to breathe and furiously wishing horrible things to happen to my husband for doing that to me. I remembered nothing of the show other than how miserable I was. The next trip I had the scooter. This time I actually saw the show. I still was not overly impressed by it, but at least I could breathe. :lmao:

I always get teary-eyed watching the clips at the end of GMR, too! :goodvibes

I guess we're just big ole saps!

OMG - me too! Great montage of movie clips.

"What not to wear" picture! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Love that!

I love the pictures of the girls in front of the AI poster.

Fun update!

Another sap!:thumbsup2

This was a fun day!

I so agree with you on LMA!! But Kyle LOVES it and we have to do it each time and sometimes twice , the second time I let Judy take him and the girls and I do something else !!As for LMA , I love it and so does Kyle , we do that while the girls are doing RnC !!

My girls like LMA too, they're saps just like their mom.

Sounds like someone just doesn't have enough appreciation for those true heartfelt moments. Might be because you just don't have enough of the right hormones. But to each their own.

Ohh Tanya I think you had it much worse than we did. I like the show okay just don't need to see it every trip. I can only watch stuff get blown up so many times.

I may need to give it one more chance. I am so prejudiced against it....I refer to it as the show where they tried to kill me.....so maybe if I get past that mentality I could enjoy it........maybe.

Oh, and I received your card.....thank you....it was sweet :lovestruc

That's a pretty hard prejudiced to get past.

You are very welcome! It's not very often I get to say I know a miracle.

I've been on the donor list since before Danielle was born.

Put me on the list of those that gets all emotional with the barrage of movie clips at the end of GMR....

Great movies and it makes me feel so darned OLD!!!

Gosh the girls took cute pics in front of the AI backdrop!:goodvibes

NOT a fan of LMA mainly because we almost melted the one and only time we saw it.
Baylor has gone another time with some DIS friends (John and Michelle ;Micheleem) when we met up with them at DHS one trip....
Saved us the agony!

Yeah another sap! Someday we'll have to meet up and ride together.

The girls are great at playing along while in Disney, I think we have a few more from this trip.

Baylor can always go see LMA with Dennis. There are times when I really feel sorry for him being the only male in the household now. He really liked having Brent here this past year.

Bless you

But of course, I have a very good customer that has a heart transplant. She gave me the paperwork to sign up.

I really loved your last update- LMA: meh. But do know that were it not for some "guy" attractions, we ladies would not be getting our men folk back there very often.

Yikes- that was some get up! :scared1:

Isn't the GMR fun!? Even in its outdated way? Sure, it needs some refurb, but I do hope they keep the clips at the end, if they do!:thumbsup2

So true! I did use this attraction get DH to go back.

Oh the things you see at Disney.

The end is my favorite part. A few years ago the changed some of the clips by adding some new ones.

I'm such a sap this also reminds me of when the run the clips on Oscars that shows the members who were lost through out the year. That always chokes me up too.:sad1:

I'm with ya on LMA. I like it fine, but I've seen it a few times and can easily skip it. Joe really enjoys it, and so does the little man though.

But, good for you guys in doing something your DH wanted! :thumbsup2 That makes for the best kind of trip.

I try not to be a Trip Nazi and make time for everyone to do their favorites. :thumbsup2 Makes for happy family time.

I have once again been a bad Diser. I've let this report go for too long and I'm behind on all the trip reports I follow. Luckily this weekend is not near as busy as the rest have been.

When we last left off the girls and I had sat through LMA to make the only guy in the family happy. I really do feel sorry for him sometimes. He shares his domain with 3 females. He is totally outnumbered and gives into us on so many things. The last family movie we went to was "Beastly". How many men would admit that the last movie he saw was a chick flick?

I'm going to once again remind you that my memory of this day is really bad and we didn't take tons of pictures. Based on the photos it looks like we made our way over to set up for "Block Party Bash". I had really wanted to get the great seats we had last trip. Danielle and I had seen this in 2009 and really enjoyed it. We had seats on the step to the Idol theater. I was in the shade and off the ground. It was also the perfect place because one of the big floats stopped right in front of us. This would be Dennis and Michelle first time to see this so I really wanted them to enjoy it like we did. When we got over to our prime spot . . .it was roped off! No one was allowed to sit there. What to do? We ended up sitting down on the pavement right next to the stairs in front of the busts. Our area filled up fast and we were soon fighting to keep our spots. Don't you just love it when people try to nudge you over so they can get a better spot? Slowly the stairs area filled with guest accompanied by special touring guides. I can't think of the name right now, but they wear those plaid vests. I guess we weren't special enough on that day. As we waited the CMs had hula hoops to help the kids keep occupied. No one like to hula hoop more than Danielle. She is actually pretty good. I think her current home record is 35 minutes. She of course joined in the fun.

Look closely she is hula hooping and eating a sucker.

She ended up winning a sticker for lasting the longest.

Here comes the fun!

The bouncing guys ended up stopping front of us.

More in next post.

Lots more photos.

This was when they called the kids out to dance. Notice my kids aren't out there.

More to come.

The parade started moving and we got to see some more floats.

Mr Incredible himself.

A close up of Mr. Potato Head.

A little too close and personal.

Here comes the end.

So, what to do next?

That parade had such high energy. I never saw a CM that wasn't going all out during the whole thing.

I loved Stars and Motorcars, too.
I want them all.
A different parade every hour? ;)
