Bonjour and Welcome to my report!
I guess I should start off my explaining my title. I played around with a couple of different titles trying to come up with something witty, but since I'm not very witty that was just too hard for me. My daughter Michelle suggested the title. It made sense for these reasons.
1. This is the title of our trip binder.
2. We are from Louisiana where this is a common saying.
3. We were in the World for Mardi Gras the party of all parties in South Louisiana.
4. Our beloved Saints had just won the Super Bowl for the very first time!
You may ask what Laissez les bon temps Rouler means? Well the translations is LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!
Here is our trip binder that Michelle decorated.

Didn't she do a great job?
Okay so I guess now would be a good time to introduce everyone.
We were a group of 6 for most of the trip.
First up is my DH Dennis, he's 46 and loves going to Disney but not as much as Danielle or I. I brought him over to the dark side in 2002 when we took a couples only 3 day trip. Before we had even entered a park he was working on how we could do a trip for the whole family. I like to identify him with 2 Disney characters. First he has the temper of Donald, but he also has the disposition of Grumpy when he doesn't get his way. He likes to think he runs things. He is also a ride junky and doesn't think he's having fun unless he's running from one ride to the next. He also has the patience of Donald. I have a hard time getting him to slow down and just enjoy things. Usually as the trip progresses he gets better at slowing down.
Next up is me Vanessa. I'm 42 and a total Disney World addict. It is my Happy Place. I'm also the organizer and planner. I love planning! I'm also pretty good at slowly working on Dennis to get my way and I don't like it when the others mess with said way or plans. I like to think I identify with Snow White or Belle. Since Michelle claims Belle I'll have to go with Snow White. I'm a mother through and through and also a people pleaser. I spend more time worrying about everyone else having a good time I often have to make myself stop and make sure I'm having fun too. It gets real exhausting trying to please so many different people while in the World. I'm guilty of bottling things up until I just explode and it's not a pretty site. I hate to admit it but I'm guilty of having one of those explosions while in the World. I think we're all guilty of having a melt down every once in a while.
My daughter Michelle is up next. She is 19 and has grown into a lovely young woman. I truly enjoyed her on this trip. She was my co-conspirator and planner. You see this was a "secret" trip. She actually didn't complain too much to my constant Disney talk, of course we could only do it on the sly. Michelle is my Belle. She would love someday to work at Disney as "Belle". She was a blast this trip and only had a few small Diva moments. She was so much fun because she has matured and doesn't have trouble laughing at herself and just letting go and getting into the moment, which is what a trip to Disney is all about. She has learned my talent for turning any conversation into something about Disney. Everything can be related to something about Disney.
Danielle is my second daughter. She is 10 and celebrated her birthday last year at Disney. She loves Disney almost as much as me. We think of her as Tink. She would love to be Belle, but Michelle claimed her first and to be truthful she has the attitude of Tink. I'll never forget the time she threw a fit in the MK and stated "She wanted something and wanted it now!" What can I say she's the youngest and spoiled. As she's getting older in some ways she getting better but in others the pre-teen is coming out. On the this trip she was in the total dark. This was her and Lauren's "Surprise Trip".
And who is Lauren? Lauren is my 10 year old niece. Although she is only 3 months younger than Danielle she is much smaller. She is also a grade behind due to her late birthday. She looks up to Danielle and follows her around. If Danielle thinks it cool then Lauren thinks it cool. This doesn't mean they don't have their moments. Sometimes they are the best of friends and sometimes they aren't. I'm not real sure what character to identify Lauren with. She use to love Cinderella but then got tired of her. She likes Ariel the most right now. So I guess we'll go with Ariel. She is a sweet child but a little flighty. She's one of those kids who say the darndest things. And it's not just what she says but how she says them. She a shopaholic and if her Mom's not careful she will break her bank someday. Her common saying when asked "What shall we do now?" is "Well you can never go wrong with shopping." Lauren is not the daredevil Danielle is. She has lots of fears because her mom has lots of fears. But at the same time she wants to do what Danielle does. You'll have to stayed tuned to see if she overcomes some of her fears. I also want to mention she and her mom went with us to Disney for Mardi Gras 2004.
Last but least is my sister Jada. She's 36 and looks the most like me of all my sisters she is also the youngest. This was her second trip to the World. She would have liked to come with us in June but the timing wasn't right. She has had a rough couple of years since our last trip and I'm really glad she was able to return. She likes Disney but doesn't have the obsession I do. Jada has lots of anxiety and doesn't do any trill rides at all. The drop on Pirates nearly sent her over the edge. She loves the shows and entertainment. She also is a heavy smoker. While we did the trills she took her breaks. It worked out pretty well except for when we did things Lauren didn't want to do. She got a little frustrated with her mom. Jada was also in on the secret and we had a lot of fun planning. I'm not sure which character to identify her with. She might be Snow White too. She has always had lots of book smarts but no common sense. She might even be like one of the fairies from Sleeping Beauty. She reminds me of the green fairy, I can't remember if it's Flora or Fauna. Remember the scene where she's trying to make the cake? Give her numbers and she's great. But again no common sense.
Here's our group.

In my next update I'll give the when, where and why.
