LAH LAH's Dec '10 PTR & WDW Trivia Extravaganza! *new 1/2/11*

Uh oh! Looks like BE and JJ might miss out on points this round...

Am I going to make it in time...I sure hope so!! It has been a CRAZY week in my neck of the woods!!

I'm going to guess A!!!!!

3 out of 4 aint bad!

According to the clock tower on Peter Pan's Flight, what time is it?

A. 2:29
B. 11:18
C. 9:06
D. 10:18

And with 3 out of the 4 votes in I am happy to announce the answer is:

C. 9:06

As you fly over London's Big Ben clock with Peter Pan and the children, you will notice that it's 9:06 ~ way past your bedtime!

LL, your little Mary Poppins ditty earned you Elsa's 50 LAH LAH points and I like the reasoning behind your guess, but indeed it is incorrect. I must subtract 2 points. :sad1: But you are still soooooooooooo speedy you get 88 points.

JJ, you guessed A, and I have a feeling this was a fly by the seat of your pants vote, garnering you 67 gumption points. (I know how you like those gumption points)

CC, although you did your blind voting before the weekend you wisely picked the one that called to you. And what-a-ya-know? You were right! For listening you get 71 LAH LAH points!

LL: 591
JJ: 543
CC: 562.6
BE: 285 (and some popcorn)

Question # 11

What date is found on top of The Hall of Presidents building?

A. 1776
B. 1971
C. 1787
D. July 4

:goodvibes

Next up: Yay! Everyone is here!!!

I know this one!!

The answer is C. 1787

Being the history geek I am, I noticed that on my last trip and I meant to look it up when I got home seeing that 1787 doesn't pop out in my random history knowledge. I'm going to guess 1787 has to do with the Revolutionary War ending.

LL and CC are pretty consistent...our other participants seem to be petering out. popcorn::

I'm here! I'm here! Real life doing that annoying thing called "busy". :sad2: ;)

*I don't consider myself to be even close to a supermom...I don't type about the laundry room or when I lose my patience and yell at my son for things he can't help or when I plop down on the couch at 8:45pm when Michael and Elsa go to sleep and watch TV till 1am and wake up grumpy (believe me...the list goes on and on.)

Whew! You are human! No, really, I understand - you gotta run the house the way it works, and from what I can tell, you are doing an awesome job. I bet your kids enjoy helping the little ones and yes, you are doing it all as a family - and those memories and experiences are something most people will never have! I'm so glad to hear you have a support system too, I know I would be calling them with tears veryyyyyy often.

As for the 3rd little one, I wish you the best with your decision! I can see why you would want to take the baby in - and being with the siblings is always good....it's a tough decision though....I think you need another hug. :goodvibes

BE (brookelizabeth) you have previously earned yourself a 200 point signing bonus and now an additional 100 for smooshing brooke and elizabeth together so cleverly! (let's not draw attention to the fact that she got her first trivia question wrong...avert your eyes...AVERT YOUR EYES!!!!!) *ahem* good try and better luck next time! Oh, and I need to deduct 15 points for incorrectly guessing my favorite color. :guilty:

Well, I hope this doesn't pull from my points, BUT, I'm not creative at all. My name is actually Brook Elizabeth. There is no e on my first name! :rotfl: I guess my Momma was the creative one! ;)

BE, no points to give, no points to deduct. Maybe some food will entice you to return...so here ya go ----> popcorn:: Enjoy!

I like popcorn! Thanks! :thumbsup2

BE: 285 (and some popcorn)
:goodvibes

At least I still got the popcorn, right?!!!

As for my answer on this latest question...I'm going to go with C. Not only because of the previous answers, but because I have several pictures of that building....

I knew this one too!! No petering out, it is just the end of the six weeks at school so I'm am way overwhelmed with projects, tests, and more tests to grade by next Friday! So enough my excuses I'm sorry for being late to the party...but of course that is nothing new I'm the notorious White Rabbit of the DIS so I'm late to everything...and of course I know the answer is 1787 because that is the date when the Constitution was signed!!! Learned that in school and was reminded of that while watching National Treasure (AN EXCELLENT MOVIE)

:yay: YAY! Everyone is here!!!! :yay:

What date is found on top of The Hall of Presidents building?

A. 1776
B. 1971
C. 1787
D. July 4

(I didn't know the answer to this, but apparently EVERYONE else did :guilty: )

Answer is obviously (to all you): C. 1787

1787, the year that the Constitution of the United States was ratified, can be seen on the front of the building in gold numbers, just below the steeple.

Lady Lallie, what can I say? First, right, and admittance of geekery...50 points for each!

The answer is C. 1787

Being the history geek I am...

Curiouser&curiouser, you smartly went with C. Might have been obvious, but color me impressed! Take 172 impressive LAH LAH points!

Lady Lallie is right! The answer is C. That is the year the Constitution was signed.

Brook without an E! You are back, you are back!!! I am totally giving you 400 honesty points. I love me some honesty! And 100 points for being right!

Well, I hope this doesn't pull from my points, BUT, I'm not creative at all. My name is actually Brook Elizabeth. There is no e on my first name! :rotfl: I guess my Momma was the creative one! ;)

Jenjolt, I have no gumption points for you, but I may have some nonpetering out points. Do you want them? Say...130 or them? Plus you smarties all got it right so being the fourth to stick with the same answer gets you 120 points! Way to go!

I knew this one too!! No petering out...

LL: 741
JJ: 793
CC: 734.6
BE: 785 I threw out the rest of your popcorn incase it was stale

Question # 12

The Swiss Family Treehouse contains about how many man-made leaves?

A. 1 million
B. 100,000
C. 300,000
D. 30,000

*only 41 more days for us!!!!!!!*

Next up: Happy Halloweenie!

AM I FIRST!?!?! NO WAY!

I have to go back and read the question now! I just wanted to post before Lady Lallie! I haven't been able to manage that yet!

Okay. . . now that I have had a moment to collect myself. I am going to go with C. There has to be a LOT of leaves, but it really isn't all THAT lush. So 300,000 seems about right!

I hope everything has a nice Halloween weekend! Happy Haunting!! See you next week!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

This made my day!

I hope you enjoy your Halloweenie weekend too!

I'm going to guess B.

Though I'm tempted to guess A because I now have Dr. Evil's voice in my head from Austin Powers. :lmao:

HAPPY HALLOWEENIE!

Trick-or-treating went great. Baby C had to stay home, of course but E, Elsa, Michael and I enjoyed going door to door asking for free candy :rotfl:

We had a great time tonight and my kids have some fun stuff scheduled for the actual Halloween evening...so they are still excited for that, but I must admit I am thankful my part is done. :cutie:

Next up: Oh My Garsh!

Awwww...your kids had the greatest costumes!! I'm such a Harry Potter fan!! WOOT for a great time!!!! Love the picture of the wand duel!!! VERY VERY COOL!!!!!

Happy Halloween to you too!!! I will be staying home and passing out candy tonight to those trick or treaters in our neighborhood!

Let's see so the question is about the Swiss Family Robinson tree!! I have walked up that tree many times (you can get some really creative photo shots from the top of that tree)! Since I know the entire tree is pretty much man made I'm going to go with C (I know already taken, but you got to follow your gut LOL)

Those are such great costumes!!! They look like like they could be in the movie! Good job!!! :goodvibes

I'm so excited for the new movie to come out!!! :dance3:

I love the costumes!!! That is awesome!! It's great that everyone went together!!

I saw a family last night where: Mom was Cruella DeVille and both Dad and the Baby were puppies! It was hilarous!

OH MY GARSH!

I was about to post my "mega, wonderfuly worded, fabulously funny, took too much time to type" post and I hit the wrong button and it's gone, gone I tell you :sad2:

I can't retype it all, please don't ask it of me. I won't, I won't, I won't! *stomping my foot*

So here is my abreviated post:

C. is correct 300,000

(each leaf cost about $1 in 1971 and 42 foot deep "roots" yada, yada, yada)

CC, correct and first 70 points for each. Congratualtions and some confetti.

LL, not correct but you made me laugh so 100 points. Now I have Austin Powers stuck in my brain.

JJ, correct but not first, 66 points. Thanks for playing.

BE, more popcorn popcorn::

Standings:

LL: 841
JJ: 859
CC: 874.6
BE: 785 popcorn::

An Epcot Question

What Future World attraction opened exactly one year after the park's opening?

A. Living with the Land
B. Test Track
C. Horizons
D. World of Motion

Next up: 30 DAYS! 30 DAYS! 30 DAYS!

My gut says A. Living with the Land but that could be because the yummy strawberry shortcake is housed in that pavilion. :lmao:

 to the lost post. I have done that MANY times, it is so frustrating!
