Laguna Beach..... I'm embarrassed!

OK, so am I the ONLY one who swore up and down I would never watch this show, but now I am addicted? Please someone answer!

Yes!!!! I'm sooo with you on this! My addiction is so bad that I even considered purchasing the 1st season on DVD just this very evening. Why would I need to buy it, you ask? Well, because I was SO against watching it, that I didn't get hooked until 1/4 of the way into the 2nd season, and now I want to see all the drama that I missed! hahahaha

In my defense, though, one of my main reasons for watching it is that I grew up in Huntington Beach & Lake Forest, which are both right next to LB. I know a lot of places they go to, and it's fun to recognize it on tv. I know, I know. I'll say it....I'm a nerd. I'm okay with that.

I just saw that MTV is producing a spin-off of Laguna Beach featuring LC and her life and job in LA. So next season I will be addicted to two embarrassing shows!

I love it too! At first I was just watching it to see if it was real, then I got hooked. My DH walked in on me watching it one time, and he sat there a while and then he said, "that is some terrible acting." I explained the whole concept to him and he started watching to see if it was for real.

It just seems so hard to believe that these teenagers have cameras following them around all the time and they act like that. That Kristen! What a snot. I'm sure her parents are thrilled when they see how she treats people.

When it first started, I thought to myself, I will never watch this show. Well, before long I was watching it when it replayed during the week and eventually go to the point where I had to watch it when it aired Mon nights. So yea, I love it!

Oh, I'm totally guilty! I was riveted by the marathon on Sunday, even though I'd seen the episodes before! It's like a car wreck on the side of the road; you don't want to look but at the same time you do.

I saw that bit of news about Talan's engagement, too. That'll last like, 72 hours.

I watched the show one day it was a marathon and felt the the spark of possible obsession. I've avoided it ever since and am happy to say i'm laguna beach-free. it could have become a very unhealthy habit.

Watch "Related" instead. It still has the young people issues, but actually has some depth to it.

My DD loves this show and was GREEN with envy when I had to go there on business a few weeks ago. It's a beautiful area.

I did watch a few episodes of the show to prepare for the trip. Naturally, I had to stop at the Koffee Klatch. The guy who was working there sounded just like Franck from the "Father of the Bride" movies. It was an adorable little place, but they had no merchandise!! Luckily, Wahoo's Fish Taco's has T-shirts.

Honestly, if any of the Cast from the show was around, I couldn't tell you. I still can't tell most of them apart.

DD was thrilled that I brought back a Laguna Beach hoodie and pants with LB emblazoned across the behind. She was all set for that season finale.

I am 37 years old and love the show, have watched every episode since it started with LC and her senior year. I also watch Real World and other assorted teen angst (young adult) drama shows on MTV. I told DH the other day I'll be the only one at the nursing home asking them to put on Real World.
As for Laguna, I like it the best...I even went so far to go on MTV.COM today to watch the trailer for next season. SAD SAD SAD!!!

That's what I thought, then I was at work on day and I get a call from DH at home ROTFL because TiVo just turned the channel to tape it. I was so busted. I have no idea why I watch it, just like I have no idea why I watch Las Vegas. They are both really bad.
