Ladybug Release at Epcot

Wondering if the Ladybug Release is still around during the Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot?

We will be there the first week of May and I hope I can be a part of this, anyone know? This is the first I have ever heard of a Ladybug release.

From the f&g site, it looks like it will be 4/15-4/17..have to check it out...thanks OP for the heads up......Have you done this before??

Thanks for the info.

We've done the Festival a couple of times, the last was around 5 years ago.

It's a real neat experience for the kids (and parents, too of course).

What they did (and hope still do) is a cast member & assistant arrives in a special decorated golf cart aka "bug mobile". They're dressed up in wacky lab coats, etc, and give a small lesson on ladybugs and then they hand out little match boxes filled with ladybugs. Then the kids simply open them and let 'em loose. We still have a couple of the boxes prominently displayed in our Disney cabinet.

I'll try to find a picture of our kids releasing the ladybugs to post later on(if I can remember how.)

That's neat to know. I was under the impression that they had stopped doing this.
