Lady Antebellum at the CMA's... what song did they perform?

Need you now. It will be on their next CD, I think the release date is Jan 26th.

The video for this song is played almost constantly on GAC lately. It's good and I'm really pleased (and shocked) that Lady Antebellum won.

I rarely watch / listen to country unless it is very "southern rock" sounding.... but I really enjoyed that performance. I even liked Zac Brown that night, and he is one I usually do not enjoy.

I should probably know more new country, but even when I DJ, I rarely get asked for any... In fact, I usually get asked NOT to play country, if anything.

One exception is Carrie Underwood.

Lady A is part of the sort of new sound. I love it that they write quite a bit of their own music. Dave (the dark haired guy) does much of the composing and arranging. Sugarland, another group I like, writes quite a bit of their own work, as well.

Country has evolved in interesting ways. Did you enjoy Kenny Chesney and Dave Matthews performance of "I'm Alive" at the CMA's?

Lots of interesting things happening on the country scene--it has been great to see Darius Rucker make such a fast and sensational transition. :thumbsup2

It's probably a regional thing.

I personally think that Zac Brown is amazing. I'm not a Carrie Underwood fan - she's talented but just not my style.

I didn't see it, but if Dave Matthews is on, it is a good time for me to go get a snack. ;)

I do like Darius Rucker.

I really enjoy Zac Brown, too. A relatively new group that I think shows promise is Love and Theft. L&T have a great rock sound. I think they will be on the tour this summer--headlined by Tim McGraw, then Lady A and Love and Theft. I'm not a big McGraw fan...so if I go, I'll probably leave after the 2 openers.

This gifted soul singing trio is one of my favorites :thumbsup2! As someone mentioned, Lady A will be touring with Tim McGraw (another favorite of mine) in 2010. :goodvibes
I'd love to go, but unless Santa surprises me :rotfl2:, not sure with this economy I want to splurge for this adventure. So their new CD may have to suffice!!!

I heard that song too and liked it. I also finally realized that they are the ones who sing "I Run to You." I've heard it on the radio and liked the song so after I had to go buy it on itunes. I'm really tempted to buy their album.

I love Darius Rucker!

When Cowboy Troy came out...I just couldn't stand listening to him...I don't want "Country rap!" ICK! Of course, I was told I was being racist. Why? I have always been a fan of Charley Pride. It is just...when I hear country...I want COUNTRY! I don't mind a little deviation, like Taylor Swift who sways towards pop....but a country rapper? No thanks. Darius is awesome. He is true to the genre.

Lady A is a great band. My DH likes country music, but he LOVES the song "Run to You!"

DH and I saw Darius and Rascal Flatts in Jacksonville in July.

Can I just say:

THE BEST CONCERT EVER!

Daruis was wonderful and the crowd went nuts when he started "Let her cry" which was recorded when he was Hootie. He has really made a seamless transition into country and I'm glad he's here. He totally fits unlike some who have tried to crossover.

Lady A has really gone up in popularity in the past year (especially in my house ;)). My kids love them and can sing "Run to you" from beginning to end and know most of "Need you now" already.

Love Lady A and Darius...when he first started country, I thought: NO WAY!! But, he stuck in there, and I am THRILLED he won!:thumbsup2
