Ladies--Would you wear this wedding dress???

For a secular/civil wedding - sure (figure permitting).

For a religious wedding in a house of worship - no way.

Wow it really is beautiful, and with the right body I think it would be lovely albiet revealing! But, no I would not/could not wear something like that, even if I had the body (which I definately do not!;) ).

I'm with some other poster here. It certainly is a beautiful dress and if I was younger I would wear it in a different color, but not for a Wedding dress. I can only imagine all the looks from older relatives!! LOL!!!

But for a wedding dress in a church - no. Maybe if the wedding was at a large hotel, or somewhere else with a civil officiant. But not with clergy present.

And I couldn't help letting my design training creep in with a nagging thought...the lace at the bodice is perfectly placed as she lounges off one hip to the left. What happens if she goes the other way? :(

A little strategically placed double stick tape might be necessary!

Deb.....that's exactly what I was thinking. How does one move in a dress like that without revealing things???? It is a gorgeous dress. Maybe for a Las Vegas wedding. Certainly not a church wedding.

Well even if I had the figure, which I can pretty much assure you will never be obtained in this lifetime, I still don't like it. Although I must admit the bodice is beautiful, the front bottom half of the skirt looks like it is wrapped around her waist like a giant silk towel.

I agree, it is pretty. But appropriate for a wedding?? Maybe in Vegas... I'm sure any groom would love it. I'd be worried about the applique(sp??) shifting and revealing my assets... Oh, and I would need to loose a large percentage of myself first too!!!

Sure, I would wear it especially in a nice outdoor, evening wedding. Lots of candlelight!

As I'm sitting here eating my yogurt and garden burger for lunch-if I had the bod I would wear it in a minute. And I can just hear my mother saying something if I wore it in a church. Plus I don't have the personality to pull it off. I'm to short, no boobs. Now would'nt that green Jennifer Lopez dress she wore a couple of years ago that people made such a fuss over be a good "going away outfit"?

silly goose! mamajoan would need to stand on her head in order for the lace to cover all necessary items....

It is a beautiful knock off...

For a wedding - never! Neither as the bride or a guest.

However, Poorlvr, I believe you should definitely wear this to the DIScar Gala. You would be the belle of the ball!

(Feeling guilty for taking that red dress off your hands even though you did offer it up)

Definitely not for a wedding. If I had an excellent body and it had a little more lace in the front, and it was black I might consider wearing it out for a formal. Otherwise, no way!

Pretty, but...

I just wouldn't be able to stop worrying about the "girls" peeking out from behind that lacy stuff.

How would I explain that to grandma?

Daisy;)

No need to worry--I found an absolutely stunning gown---that I will not reveal until the big todo on Saturday night. No more time for shopping, so, I have to hang onto this one.

Altho, I do feel all glow-y that both of my original gowns were "borrowed"--"You like my taste in clothing. You really like it!" (sorry, Sally)

would I wear it? NO way!!

But it sure is a beautiful dress!!

I like the back too. But I'm getting kind of tired of the whole "must show navel" thing.

If I had the figure that model does I would wear it in a second! Its absolutly GORGEOUS!!
