Ladies who wear dresses in the parks, any tips?

What's a brand name for "runner's grease"? That could come in handy!

I use Body Glide. They have one formulated for women but I find the regular one works great for me.

Body glide. They sell it at REI, just couldn't remember the name. It's the only thing that has not given me a rash!

I get it Body Glide at our local running store, but you can get it on Amazon. There is another version made by Gold Bond. They both look like a deodorant stick and work well.

Gold bond version makes me break out, and I mean badly. So you might want to try both before going to the parks. I used the gold bond at a wedding and that was a horrible, horrible day.

I wear midi-length dresses and boy short undies or granny knickers. Even if the wind caught my skirt there wouldn't be much of a show.

I always wear dresses. I wear nike pros under all my dresses so my legs to hurt at the end of the day from rubbing together. i always wear nike shoes as well. sandals hurt my feet since im always there open to close.

I always wear skirts and dresses but they are never that short. I do wear cotton boy shorts as opposed to skimpy underwear so it gives coverage just in case but that's it lol..

I live in dresses, so I wear them in the parks too. I don't wear shorts under them, but Athleta has some cute skorts that I can wear with a tee or tank that I have a couple of. Cute and a quick drying fabric!

I'm another fan of wearing dresses to the parks. I like to wear jockey skimmies when I do. They're lighter than bike shorts, and super comfortable and light.

I live in dresses when the weather's nice too. Never had an issue with needing to wear shorts or anything underneath; my dresses are all about knee length or up to 2" above the knee.

And for my 5yo who's now going to the bathroom by herself, dresses are easier to keep somewhat clean than having her pull down her shorts and undies...I also get grossed out if my shorts/undies touch the toilet or the floor while using the bathroom; it's a lot easier to manage a dress.

I wore dresses to the park for the first time during my trip this past Feb. I wore black capri leggings under and white Adidas sneakers with no show socks. They were very comfy outfits.

This thread reminds me of my Mom. When I was young, in the 1960's, we went to DL fairly often. Mom always wore a street length dress and heels. In fact, she wore heels everywhere until she broke her hip on her 65th birthday. I can still hear the click, click, click of her heels on Main Street USA...

I'm another fan of wearing dresses to the parks. I like to wear jockey skimmies when I do. They're lighter than bike shorts, and super comfortable and light.

I have these, and wear them under my dresses. LOVE them! So light! they are like $12 at Target

I usually wear nikes, but I can wear them with jeans, shorts or even Capri pants
I might want to wear a dress this July, after dressing up Dapper Day last month I realized how much I love to wear a dress at Disneyland! But Nike and a dress are a no go!

Depending on the style of dress, how about Keens (mary janes are fun), Toms, Keds classics, saddle shoes, other oxfords, croc ballet flats, ankle boots when the weather is cool, Dansko, etc. There are so many choices! Just choose what works for your feet.

I wear Prana yoga dresses everywhere - they are moisture wicking and come in beautiful colors.

And the best part? They have built in shelf bras so they make packing very easy!

I'm another one that wears dresses to the park! I wear cheap $10 Spanx-type shorts-style undies under my dresses. I need the coverage to keep chub rub at bay, and Body Glide just doesn't do enough for these thighs :-/ During winter, I just coordinate leggings with the outfits (not difficult, I have a love affair with leggings right now).

My granddaughters' wear cheap stretch-cotton Walmart shorts under their dresses and I wear the same under my t-shirt/skater skirt combos. That way we don't have to pay any attention to how we board a ride, sit on the ground, twirl during a dance, run for a bus, ect.
