Due to some meds Ive gained 60 pounds in the last 6 months I am not use to this extra weight but Im dealing with it =) I work fulltime so I am in business attire all week plus I wear a dress to church on Sundays, and on weekends I have 2 pairs of jeans that fit along with some sweats =/ Really fabulous I know. Anyhow with WDW coming in 32 days I need to SHOP (I know poor me hehe) My jeans and sweats are staying home! I would like comfy, but not a sloppy look. What do you wear in Disney?

Normally, I always wear dresses made out of really cool material. I seem to stay a lot cooler in dresses than in shorts.

I still have a spare tire around my middle courtesy of 2 y/o DD, and am determined NOT to hate every photo taken of me on this vacation. I am doing a couple of longish ruched tube top dresses from the AE clearance rack, but have been wearing them as skirts with the ruched top folded down to act as a nice wide waistband. I also have a couple of shortish skirts, but I refuse to do denim or anything else with a structured waistband on this trip. Pairing those with layered tank tops and Rainbow or FitFlop sandals.

Leave anything heavy at home. NO denim or knits. It will be way tooooooo hot. While I love skirts or dresses for their coolness, I hate climbing into/off some of the rides with them on. So I'm all for the lightweight capris/bermuda shorts. On top I like a tank top with a very lightweight short sleeved shirt (left open) to keep the sun off of my arms and shoulders. I find this actually cooler than going without the shirt.

Leave the jeans at home! I'm pooh sized and although a Florida native, I hate the heat and it gets HOT in September. I shower in the mornings and then at midday we usually head back to the room, shower again and change clothes before heading back to the parks.
PS Remember your sunscreen!

How does it work out wearing dresses and riding rides? Any issues with showing people your business? ;)

Put on some bike shorts underneath and you won't have a problem. Also, you won't have a problem with rub or the damps.

I found great shorts at Macy's. They are Karen Scott brand and they are made of a lite weight material. They were perfect for our 90 degree trip recently.

 ahhhh!! I was wondering this also!! I am avoiding anything that needs to be buttoned because WDW is the last place for me to start my diet =) Ill look into dieting AFTER WDW.... ***dreaming of many chocolate covered Mickey treats*** A few flowy and pretty skirts with bikeshorts underneath will solve the non sloppy look with comfort! And layered tanks ohhhh Im going shopping this weekend!:cloud9:

Looks like that will be two of us dressed to match in the World at the same time :cool1:

Where are you staying?

Shorts and a cute T-shirt are my attire. Remember Sept. will be HOT HOT HOT...did I say it will be HOT!!!

I wear shorts and tank top type shirts.

Lane Bryant is having a sale on some of their shorts and sleeveless tops. The shorts are very comfy. I also found a really light tank top type shirts at Kohl's on sale.

I'm also going to be there in Sept. One month and one day out for me! :woohoo: We'll be at the AKV unless we get our waiting list for Boardwalk Villas.

Yay AKV! We will be at the Jambo villas. How about you (if BWV doesn't come through)?

Go with bermuda shorts or (don't laugh at me) skorts. Skorts are great because they look nice if they are newer, but don't cause a problem on rides.

And now I'm off to exercise. I swore I would exercise on the elliptical every night until Disney. . .I bought a bunch of 5" long shorts, and I don't want to be so mortified by how I look in them that I wear my capris and dresses exclusively.;)

I love Lands End active stuff. I wore it my whole trip last Sept. (and it was brutally hot) like you I put on a lot of weight in a short time. Even though I am poo sized now I felt completely comfortable it is all moisture wicking (sp)
and it is nice looking in a put together kind of way. If that makes any sense. Oh and one more thing. Invest in good cotton under wire sports bras. I wore Elomi. They were a god send!!!! Enjoy!!!!
