Ladies...What do YOU wear to the parks?

I pack something for everything. I go in Nov and while it is usually dry, the mornings can be a bit chilly... warming up in the afternoons and then down to low 60's at night. I wear tank tops and bermuda shorts during the day and at night I'll throw on longer jeans or capris and a short sleeved shirt and bring a light zip-up jacket with me or if it is chilly, a long sleeved shirt and hoodie. I like to have a lot of options when I go (and I still can't figure out how my luggage is never even close to the weight limit lol), just to be on the safe side. If we have dinner adrs, I will wear something more casual cute. I always wear a comfy pair of sneakers to the parks- my feet cannot handle flip flops or flats/sandals with all of that walking. When we are hanging out around the resort, I will wear my sanuk yoga mat flip flops or disney painted Toms- SO COMFY!!!

I do like to look good in the parks, but I have to weigh that with comfort. Either:

A. Tank top and jogger capris
B. Longer tunic type tank top and quick dry capris.

No skirts or shorts for me - but I have a personal hang-up regarding those. If I thought I could rock them, I would.

I always pair these with open crocs flats like those in the Adrina line. I always carry a rain jacket - I have a belted, packable one that doubles as a light sweater.

I take shorts/cute shirts for daytime and nicer things for dinner. I usually bring a cardigan in October for the restaurants. I pack a couple of exercise outfits (running skirts, etc) for days when it's just too hot to look cute:-).

Lol i live in a place that is alot colder than Florida so anytime of year at Disney for me warrants a tank top, shorts, and sandals. Definitely do not care about my appearance there..generally no makeup and hair back in a ponytail/bun

I wear jeans, a t-shirt, and my chucks. If it is a bit cooler, I might throw on a light sweater or sweatshirt. I'm not much of a shorts person, so I won't wear those unless it's like 90 degrees lol.

My last trip I wore jean capris and t shirts...it was late November. I learned for me jeans are the worst when wet (DD's fav ride was splash). This time we are going in October and I'm totally going for comfort! I'm planning work-out/running capris and tank tops/t's and then packing a long sleeve zip up for mornings/evenings!

So, I may be in the minority here--but wanted to chime in on the pictures aspect. I did Memory Maker during my last trip and I wanted to look good! I took time to do my make up daily and re-applied my lipstick and a little pressed powder before most pics. I also splurged on some false lashes (the kind that last 2 weeks) to ensure that I looked my best. Even when the rest of my face was worn off by the end of the day, my eyes still popped which IMO really made a difference. I was so pleased with my pics and everyone commented on how good I looked (unsolicited :) ). For me this was important, and as a slighter older Mom to little ones I wanted to have lasting memories where Mom looked nice and not a hot sweaty schlumpadink mess.

I also put on a few pounds between my first and last trip (due to DS 2.5). I was shocked that while wearing a very cute Maxi dress, a staple in my summer wardrobe, that my inner thighs were painfully sore and I ended up with bruises from all the walking. I just read some great tips on how to beat the heat that including protecting your raw skin in senstive areas that I will be sure to use for my upcoming trip.

My "uniform" is typically leggings, a big comfy tshirt, and I bring 3 pairs of slip on style sneakers (love Sketchers slip ons!) to rotate and HEAVY socks. (Rule of thumb: if we do a morning at the park, come back to the hotel and then go back to the park later - clean socks and a different pair of shoes). We almost always go off season, so I bring light knit cardigans, sweatshirts and if Jan/Feb, hats and gloves to layer as needed. Top off with a VB crossbody bag, and I'm good to go.

Kidlet does the mini-me version of the above, but the t's and sweats must be Disney and preferably princess oriented.

We also like to eat at nicer restaurants, so I bring 2 casual dresses and coordinating cardis (with flats) to wear to those.

Workout capris with loose workout tanks. I bring a few pair of jean capris too.

I used to dress up some at Disney, but the last couple years I have gone more casual and have been more comfortable. I bought a couple of the workout leggings with the attached skirt and they have been perfect to pair with a Disney tee.

Shorts and tanks/t-shirts. Flip flops and tennis shoes. No sundresses and no dressing up. In October, it's still hot enough to melt in Florida. We went Columbus Day weekend last year and it was much hotter than it was the last week of May this year. Stay cool!

As for pictures, I like vacation pictures to look like we are on vacation and having a blast. My crowd doesn't dress up on vacation - comfort all the way.

Definitely comfortable as we usually are there in the summer heat. Shorts and t-shirts with flip flops or sneakers. Comfort is key :)

This is the million dollar question for me right now. I've gained a bit (lot) of weight over the past few years and I am slowly (but surely) taking it off. I've been living in maxi skirts and tanks all summer at work because they have the fold over band which has been helpful in taking me through my weight loss. I don't want to wear these in the park because of the dreaded chub rub (even with the thigh glide stuff it still hurts like crazy) but I dispise shorts. I am tempted to wear my workout crops but I'm still quite fluffy and don't like material that tight showing all my lumps and bumps in public (except the gym). So I have no idea. Because I am losing weight, I also don't want to invest any money into anything new either, because it definitely won't fit me next summer.

I'd love to look good in pictures but realistically, I have a 6 and 4yo I will be running after. I'll be a hot sweaty mess. At this point I'm not too worried about looking fab. I just want to be comforatble and somewhat presentable.

I do put on makeup and do my hair every morning. But I go with the curly wet look so it looks decent. I've thought of the fake eyelashes but I wear sunglasses most of the time. lol

Congratulations on the weight loss, this is a constant battle for myself as well. I hate buying new clothes, as I don't really know how long I could wear them. I struggle with the "what people think of what I wear thing" all the time, and is the #1 reason I don't wear tank tops in public. I need to get into the mindset that everyone else is enjoying their vacation too much to think about what I look like. I say wear whatever is comfortable for you, like your workout crops, but understand 100% where you are coming from!

Hmmm, you all have me thinking here. I practically live in sundresses and maxi dresses in the summer so that's what I was planning on packing for my upcoming trip.... but what do you do about rides that have a seat buckle between your legs? Space Mountain comes to mind immediately... also Rockin' Roller Coaster - there's probably a few more? Is there a trick to maintaining your modesty? LOL

I don't have any problems in the sun dresses I wear (knee length or slightly shorter). I do wear bike shorts underneat to avoid accidental flashing.
