How funny that you asked this...i've been searching for months and can't find one that I like. I've had the same one for years and my dd broke one of the mirrors on it. I've brought home two different ones, but took both back because they weren't bright at all! Hope you get some good suggestions!

I looked at Target last night and they only had the round ones. I didn't like them. I'm also looking for one that is bright.

I can tell you one thing to avoid....I have one from Target and it drives me batty. You turn it on and adjust the light level by touching the metal surround, so if you bump it while using it, the light turns off. This can happen several times per morning if you're as clumsy at makeup application as I am! When this one dies, I hope to find one with a real on/off switch!

There was a round mirror at Target that had an on/off switch. The switch was stuck in the on position, but it wasn't lighting up. I'll have to check out BB&B.

Go to Bed, Bath and Beyond. They have some good ones there.
