Ladies...how will you carry your KTTW cards on board?

I'm assuming that you don't need your purses aboard the ship. Ladies...how do you carry your KTTW cards? I heard you can punch a hole in them, so does that mean most of you put them on lanyards? My friend and I are trying to figure this one out. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Threre's no place on the card that a hole can be punched without it taking privleges away? Where do you get that Witz box? Maybe that's what we'll have to do.

I have reaad in many places that punching a hole in them causes them to be void. I am thinking of doing this for my children. I am going to get a lanyard with a clear pouch on it for me and my dh. They carry them at wal-mart and at luggage stores.

We are using the ID holders from Walmart. (on a lanyard)

We got a couple of real nice id holders on lanyards at REI...but then we also got one of those boxes..to use on excursions and what not because they are waterproof...so it was perfect to swim and snorkel with...We got ours on the ship..With the DCL logo across it...made for a nice souviner. (we did get one before we left home, also at REI.) The cost for the box on the ship was around $6..close to what we paid at REI..and for the same size around $8 for a larger one.

They are large enough to hold the KTTW card along with a Credit card, your photo id and a little cash...for trips to shore.

Pocket. except when I swim, then I tuck it in my suit at the hip. For no pockets dress up nights, dh carries his and I don't bring mine.

For around the ship I carry it in the plastic sleeve on a lanyard.

For excursions and on CC I use one of the waterproof boxes.

For Formal/Semi-formal nights where a lanyard would look out of place I have a small crocheted purse with a wrist strap that I use (also holds a tissue and lipstick).

I carry mine in a pocket, in my camera bag, or use it as a bookmark on the ship. I carry a purse or at least a beach bag when we get off the ship so it just goes in my wallet or a zipper compartment if I am not carrying my wallet. I do not swim with mine - just leave it in my book or shoe on my chair.

around the ship I use my pocket, or my dh carries it in his. On excursions either he has it in his pocket or wallet, or I have a small fanny pack that works great for KKTW, credit card, drivers license, and a little cash.
I use it at WDW too. Works great for me. I see lots of people on the ship with the lanyards around their necks with their cards too.

In my short's pocket. When I took off shorts to swim it stayed in the pocket. If I didn't have it a pocket it stayed in my husband's pocket. They provided a little cardboard sleeve to keep it safe in your wallet or pocket.

I found some fishing license holders at walmart for around 80 cts each. Just a plastic sleeve with a safety pin to attach it to you. Figure I could use that when I don't have a purse or a pocket (May even safety pin it to the inside of the pocket so I won't loose it.) Was looking for a lanyard holder but like this better because I won't have something hanging around my neck all day and can pin this anywhere

When on the ship the DH usually carries both of ours in his pockets, especially when we go to dinner and I don't have any pockets.
For swimming and stuff, especially at CC, we also got one of those dry boxes off the ship. They are very convenient!

I know I have read of many DIS'er punching a hole in their KTTW to acommodate hanging them from a lanyard WITHOUT LOSING THEIR CHARGING PRIVILIEGES.....there is place that you can punch that will not interfere with the magnetic strip. This is the way is has been in the past, not sure if it has changed....

Since I take my camera/glasses/sunglasess/navigator with me at all times, I usually keep mine in a small purse I wear diagonally over the shoulder. For beach excursions, I keep it in a zippered compartment in my beach bag.

I thought that if you didn't punch the hole through the magnetic strip you could still have charging priviledges.

On our last cruise, my DH carried mine in a lanyard box we bought on the ship.

This year, I will put mine on a key chain with a wrist coil so I can have carry it on my wrist. I don't like the lanyard hanging around my neck.

When DCL cancels charging privileges on someones card, they do punch a hole in it, but I also think they note it in the computer system....and I think they must punch it through the magnetic strip....I do not think (of course I can be wrong...that a hole in the card in itself cancels charging privileges).

I do think you can punch a hole in the card yourself for carrying it on a key ring type lanyard without losing charges privileges....I am not recommending it, but just stating what I have read on these boards many times.

When hanging out around the ship we have the lanyards with the clear plastic cases we purchased at walmart for around $1.

We also have the plastic cases for swimming/beaches/pools.

At night..hubby keeps a card in his pocket so I don't have to worry about it.

Unfortunately, I use a fanny pack, on the bright side I just found one on QVC called a pup bag, its a fanny pack but slim. So thats where my KTW will be...
