Ladies, do you wear makeup in the parks?????

I found the best mascara. It is called Kiss me and it is sold at Sephora. It is waterproof, smudge proof and does not streak or smear or melt. It is made of a different material and it forms little tubes around your eyelashes. To remove it it just takes a little warm water and a gentle wipe. The mascara comes right off in little tubes. It is the best stuff I have ever used. It is very different from the old type of waterproof mascara...no special removers and it all comes off without tugging or losing any eyelashes.

I just ordered this based on your recommendation. I'm very intrigued! I haven't found a good mascara that doesn't cloud up my contacts (even mascaras labeled for contacts don't necessarily work with contacts) or melt under my eyes in the Florida humidity. I'll see if this works for me!

I only wear makeup the day I arrive. After that it is sunblock and lipgloss with a spf. Why bother when it will melt of minutes after I appy it? Same for my hair. It is only down the first day. After that it is ponytail time! :sunny:

You will love it!! I am hooked. I wear it on long flights, and never clumps or flakes. The best thing is that since it comes of in little tubes, it never leaves the Mascara stain under your eyes. I wear it in the Florida humidity and water rides...did not come off till I took it off.
PM me after you try it... :flower:

OK, I will definitely PM you and let you know what I think of it! :earsgirl:

I always wear makeup. I do wipe most of mine off if it's hot, but I want to look half way decent when I get to the parks. So I like to take pictures first thing in the mornings. Sometimes I'll skip eyeshadow and just do mascara.

This past summer I bought some Physicians Formula Pearls of Perfection Multi-Colored Bronzer. Just brush it on with a blush brush. I will probably try this for my trip next July. Maybe it would stay on better than foundation.

I wear the same makeup in the parks that I do pretty much every day: foundation, powder, blush, mascara, and light lipstick or lip gloss. I'm a "natural look" kinda gal. ;)

My foundation has SPF in it, so that's a good enough reason for me. Better than smearing nasty sunblock on my face, anyway!

"Ladies, do you wear makeup in the parks????"

I wouldn't go out without it. Wouldn't wanna scare the little kiddies! :rotfl2:

Seriously, I use the Jane Eyerdale (sp?) loose foundation that you brush on. It really doesn't "run" or "melt" in the heat. Great stuff!

I always put my make up on in the morning before we head to the parks. Same old routine as when I'm at home. I don't bring the whole make up bag with me and reapply during the day, but at least I start off my day with it. Honestly, I don't think it's a big deal if someone wears make up to the park, or chooses not to--its all up to your personal preference.

The mascara is espically great...I use it all the time, since I wear contact lenses I no longer get the mascara flakes in my eyes. Truly a great and unique product..

I'm intrigued...Have you worn this mascara while you've been swimming?
I use 2000 Calorie mascara (waterproof) and it's been my fav.

I also started using mineral makeup this spring and love it! It was great over the summer, even at WDW in July! :sunny: I bought it off Ebay from http://www.everydayminerals.com/ which is much less expensive than Bare Escentuals.

Yep, I do, but I use my "weekend" routine: powder foundation w/SPF 15 to even out skin tone, blush, a little bit of eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss. Sometimes I'll skip the mascara. If going to the water parks, nothing but sunblock.

Well, I'm back!

I wore my usual - light foundation, powder and blush with lip gloss every day and it worked out fine. I never felt like it was melting. I use Origins, which is very light. I just like to give my face a little color so I don't look pale. I don't like to put sunblock on my face because it feels greasy and makes me break out. I only use it at the beach when I don't wear any makeup because I'm going in the water anyway.

At Disney I took a full shower every night, then a quick shower to rinse in the am. I took a full shower the first am but the cheap hair dryer the All Star Sports gave me took FOREVER to dry my hair, so I only washed it at night after that, to save time in the am. I put it up in a french braid and it stayed pretty well all day. I hate wearing pony tails on rides, or when I'm sitting in a car or plane for a long time where my head hits the back of the seat, because the ponytail gets in the way. I have to put it up or it will get all tangled in the wind on the rides, and it was too hot to leave down around my neck, so french braid was the way to go.

:goodvibes

Of course, why not? If you only apply a bit, then you won't melt. I couldn't see anyone over 18 not wearing makeup.... Honey....we all need it.

I love my Bare Minerals!! I know its an infomercial, and on QVC, and I was mesmerized by the commercial, went to an Ulta store, tried it, and LOVED what it did, I have bad face discolartion, not even the makeup for "scars" would help!!

Bare Essentials eye makeup is stunning, but it doesnt last as long, in the summer - maybe its all my eye rubs!! and I do have to touch up - because of the "shine" factor, but the base coat doesnt streak, it does wonders for me!!

I agree Bare Minerals is the best! It really gives me a more even skintone and doesn't look as cakey as liquid foundation.

I never go anywhere without my make-up on. But when it's time for a touch-up I use those oil blotting papers instead of piling on more powder. Clean and Clear are inexpensive and can be found at any Target, Wal-mart, etc. They really work great IMHO.

I also use Bare Minerals!! Just love that stuff, especially the Bisque eye shadow base. We were just there last week - Oct 3 - 10 - talk about hot!! I buffed my face with the foundation (which is powder) put on bisque and it really held the eyeshadows in place all day - did a double dose of waterproof mascara and some gloss - good to go all day!!! And it didn't show if you were sweating (which I was immensely!!!) - no streaks down the face, etc! You won't need blush because you will be doing that naturally from all the walking and the sun!!!LOL Enjoy and truly no one is going to notice if you've got the entire "game face" on or not!!! ;)

Oh lord, yes! I wear makeup. Otherwise the kids might think I am a troll! Seriously, at Disney, for parks, I wear a tinted sunscreen, topped with a brush of powder, waterproof mascara (with curled eyelashes, thank you very much!), and a light gloss/lip tint.

For going out to dinner, though, I bring the whole bag of illusion.

Also, another vote for the "clean and clear" face blotters! Goodbye face oil!

Yes I have! It does not come off until you take it off by applying gentle presssure combined with warm water and cleanser. The only way I can describe it is it looks like spider legs in the sink. It is completely diferent than any other mascara you have ever used. It comes off only when you want it to, does not stain your undereye area and comes off easily by just squeezing your eyelashes when wet. It will only come off when you squeeze them off - the same motion ou would use to take of false eyelashes. But you can swim, walk in the rain sweat whatever...it does not mix with water, sweat or oil so it stays put. I just  it.

Try it..you will love it too.

::MickeyMo Too much hassle, especially during the hot weather when all it would do it melt off. I wear a clear foundation with SPF in it and lip gloss with SPF in it. That's it. I may wear a little if we go to DTD, PI or for a nice dinner, but other than that, I don't bother. It's pretty much, get up and get out. ::MinnieMo
