Ladies, are you EVER going to leave?? 10 days of Food & Wine fun! *NEW 1/29 PG 34*

Awww Remy is such a cutie! That is my kind of lunch! If I make it there do I ask for the Christine special? :rotfl2: Happy you found your way back and hope you find your way the first week of May ;)

Tracy

Yea for a new update C! I love your pictures of an empty WS!

I feel the same way about the people who walk up and try to get seated at table service places at WDW without an ADR. Do they know the research and planning that goes into a truely successful trip, are they first timers, are they staying off sight? Don't know but I do feel bad, especially when the person hunger and exhaustion are visible!

Your meal sounds and looks wonderful!

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your day! Saving the world from pretzels is very important business! DD and I may have gone on a similar adventure ;)

BTW, I just started a TR for our recent trip! Drop by and join in the fun! THere's a link in my siggie ;)

Ha, ha about having people squeeze in on your Remy time!

Please don't tell me that is their big honking lens in your last photo!:rotfl:

Nope, that is Paula's big honking lens-- and she gets some gorgeous photos with it!

I am so excited -- an update!!! :yay:

Look how empty WS looks!!! That's a reason to use that private entrance right there!!!

I am cracking up over the Photopass photographer -- where do they think these things up?

Mmmmm, I would like to have the Christine special at Chefs one day. It looks/sounds delicious!

There are many benefits to the special entrance. One day you will try it!!

Oh, I love the UK pictures. I spent one year at university in London and have travelled a lot in the UK and I just love how this pavillion really shows the essence of Britain... :cloud9:

It is beautiful. It's fun to come through prior to WS opening and get some emptyish shots!

Just as I am willing to share my Soarin' with others when I am not there. Aren't we just the nicest folks??? :goodvibes

The gardens in Canada are always such a pleasure to see. So beautiful.

We get pictures again! Yay! :yay:

Thanks so much for sharing Soarin' with us, MeMom!! :goodvibes I would like to live in the cabin in Canada!

Your pictures are simply stunning of the UK. I would love some pix of a completely empty pavillion like that! The UK Pav. simply screams come shop me.

Your lunch sounded delightful- good food, great company!! Excellent!

Thanks for the lovely!

There is good shopping in the UK. Well, all around WS, really.

As I was walking past your entrance the other day I stopped to take a picture just for you!! What great memories of October!! World Showcase is so beautiful!!!

Loved our lunch!!! Remy was too cute and I so enjoyed watching his little antics! I enjoyed the lunch with friends even more!!!!

Great pictures!

It's been fun remembering that afternoon. We definitely had a great time. Hoping for a repeat this October!

Hey C! Glad you found your way back to us (things been busy?)

Seems like I have a Christine special planned for May. We also just added a Cape May breakfast followed by margaritas for Cinco do Mayo so we can use your Epcot entrance...

are you joining us? :rolleyes1 (you KNOW I have to ask!)

That is TOTALLY a Christine special! Unfortunately I don't think a May trip is going to be in the cards for me.

Tracy

By all means ask for the C special... but beware it comes with a side of flirting from the waiter. ;)

I will head over to your TR ASAP to catch up. Sorry I've been a bit out of it lately. By the way, who knew pretzels could be so dangerous?? :confused3

After a delightful lunch, we spent some time browsing around the shops.

We headed “next door” to Morocco. I believe it was the 20th anniversary of the pavilion so they had decorated it with streamers.

Despite having taken this picture probably once every trip, I couldn’t help myself. It’s such a pretty pavilion for pictures!

DSC01806.jpg

If they would fit with my décor, I’d love some of these lanterns for my house!

More WS, evil pretzels and a DIS meet coming later...

Ah, my darling Morocco! So many pretty picture opportunities there!

You can adopt the same design style my mother and I cultivate. She calls it "eclectic" and claims that it means she can put whatever she wants in her house and be able to get away with it. :rotfl: I have followed her example despite the fact that sometimes I wonder if my house doesn't look like some bizarre thrift shop/Middle Eastern bazaar amalgam! :lmao:

The shops have such lovely photo opps., don't they?! The Moroccan lanterns are really pretty. I can easily envision one on my covered deck with a big candle inside on a summer evening or at Christmas time!

Have you ever wandered into the museum/ prayer room in the Mor. Pav.?? Wondered what it's like!

Ive read your whole TR and im loving it. sounds like you are enjoying your self a lot. cant wait to read more

I have to agree with you C..Morocco is such a gorgeous pavillion although I perfer it without the streamers!!! LOL!! However I always find myself taking the same pictures all the time too...just gorgeous there!!!

Hmmm....dasterdly pretzels...hmmm sounds like a lot of fun!!!

Can't wait for more!

Evil Pretzels :confused3

I'm feeling a bit blue that you don't think May will happen :sad1: (I'm still going to keep my fingers crossed!)

There IS still a pulse. Maybe the funk has lifted! And I LOVED the gingerbread you sent so what do I know?! :confused3 That was so nice of you. :goodvibes

HA! ANYtime. ;)

Okay, just got all those updates -- the Chef's lunch (YUMMO lunch menu -- we are going back this June) If you recall I had a nasty salad there, and everyone else at the table seemed to enjoy their lunch, so I have pronounced a DO OVER!

And your shopping meandering photos are great. Really nice inside the Morocco Pavillion I agree with everyone so many neat things...

OH!!! IS this OUR DISMEET??!!!! I just realized you had Lunch at Chef's and I thought it was that afternoon .....

Funny, I do always think of you in Morocco! I like your decorating philosophy... "electic." I think I can do that! I am sure your house is gorgeous -- and know it is from the pics i have seen!!

Your deck sounds gorgeous. Summer DIS party? I'll just invite myself on over. I have not been in the museum (at least not that I remember!)

Definitely prefer it without streamers!

Evil Pretzels :confused3

I'm feeling a bit blue that you don't think May will happen :sad1: (I'm still going to keep my fingers crossed!)

Stay tuned for the pretzel story but suffice it to say that Ms. Kim Possible needed our help. Jen, Paula and I were like Charlie's Angels.

You definitely need a Chef's re-do!

Oh YAY!!! That is so funny!!! :lmao:

I know how that is going to go: AND so we waited around the American Pavillion sweating to death while HappyDog chatted nonstop and her DH bought four lobster rolls...
:rotfl::rotfl:

Oh but there is more, right? The next day then of course you have your MNNSHP #2.. can't wait to see those results... ;)

Most assuredly without the streamers. They didn't seem to be the right fit at all.

Can't wait to hear the story of Charlie's Angels meet Kim Possible! :)

Nice pictures, once again.

Sounds like you had a lovely lunch at Les Chefs. I really missed going there this last trip. It's such a nice relaxing place to eat and take a break at. :thumbsup2

That is not how it is going to go at all. Although I think it was hot. I didn't even remember the 4 lobster rolls until now! Hey- you couldn't let snack credits go to waste!! All I remember is that happy is a very fitting name for you, your kiddos are just adorable and your DH is super nice. :goodvibes Hopefully our paths cross in WDW again!!

Phew! Cause that woulda been really pushy!:rotfl:

I do have lens envy over Paula's lens though!;)

I have envy over her talent; I'm too lazy to carry around the equipment.

Most assuredly without the streamers. They didn't seem to be the right fit at all.

Nice pictures, once again.

I have to say the streamers were odd. Didn't really fit.

That's the "trouble" with WDW... so many favorite restaurants that you can't hit all of them on every trip. But it is great to always have a reason to go back!!

From Morocco we moved along to Japan. A funky light fixture that made me think of Leslie.

It’s fun browsing around this big department store, don’t you think? For all of my love for the adult beverage, believe it or not I have not tried the sake bar.

As I was looking at this next set of photos in photobucket I was wondering what I was thinking but then it all came back to me! Earlier in the day I had texted with HappyDog and we were planning to meet up after our lunch at Chefs. Then I got another text that they were boarding the boat and heading across the World Showcase lagoon. We were going to meet in America where she and her DH could get a lobster roll!

So I think that the HappyDog family is aboard the boat in these pictures.

And finally we saw Happy’s family walking toward us. It is so funny to see people in real life that you’ve seen in pictures. And they are just as super nice as they seem in the reports. Happy’s DH went off in search of the lobster roll and we had fun chatting with Happy and her kiddos.

Here’s our happy bunch.
DSC01835.jpg

From left to right that is me, Paula, Happy (I do know her name but not sure if she likes to use it on the boards so not going to do it here), and Jen.

If I’m not mistaken, I think the HappyDog family was headed home that day so we didn’t have a whole lot of time to chat. Next time!!

Jen, Paula and I headed off to Italy. They had gotten a FP for Kim Possible and I think this is where we were assigned our mission. But in the meantime I took a few pics.

What do you think is up there on the 2nd floor? Anything? Is it fake? Storage? A secret party room??

Lovely update!! That light is funky! As nicely as the Moroccan lanterns would be on my deck, that weird thing would not. :lmao:

I've always wanted to catch the Fife and Drum group! It's on my must-do list for Sept!

Mmmmm, lobster roll! You didn't ever hear how it was, did you?

I think the 2nd floor is, just a guess here, an office or CM place. Stab in the dark there. When I worked at DLR, a lot of 2nd floor windows/ space was office for management and accounting.

 Agree. That lamp is not on my wish list. But as a "collector" of light fixtures thought it was a good photo!

The Fife and Drum group was great. They also brought the kids up as I recall to do the Pledge of Allegiance. I haven't done that since grade school but think I remembered most of it!

The lobster roll gets really high marks! It's on the more expensive side but good. I live in New England so not necessarily a delicacy for me but yummy.

I wonder if they'd ever clean out their 2nd floors and rent out the rooms for events? Wouldn't that be cool? DIS meet, anyone?? I didn't know you worked at DLR (or I forgot - also possible :rolleyes1). I'd love to hear more! What did you do?

The three super-spies had received our briefing and knew that Kim Possible needed our urgent assistance in Germany. Using our superpowers, we made it from Italy to Germany in record time. ;)

I would love to say that I remember details of our mission but it’s probably just as well that I don’t for two reasons: a) I would hate to have to kill you after revealing classified info and b) I wouldn’t want to spoil it for anyone. All I can say that there was evil and pretzels. And we were the only three women in the World who could stop it. The pressure was intense, let me tell you…

But not so intense that I could snap a few sight-seeing photos. :rolleyes1 Don't tell Kim...

Our KIM-municator led us to many clues that we had to piece together throughout our mission.

Note the pretzel:

DSC01848.jpg

You can’t see it from the picture but as I recall, the beer steins were singing!

And the heroes triumph over pretzel evil!!!

I was so pleased we had tried KP. Super fun and a great invention especially for parents who may want to enjoy World Showcase but need to entertain the young’uns. What I don’t know, however, is how some of you have done more than one mission in a day!?! One was enough for me.
