Ladies a Survivor/swimsuit question for you.

For those of you who are fans of Survivor and watched the show last night I wanted to comment on/question the choice of swimsuits.

If you knew you were going on a show like Survivor where it would be seen by millions and there were going to be extremely hard physical challenges, wouldn't you put a little more thought into your swim wear than it appears some contestants have?

There have been comments on the Survivor thread about Cirie and her suit not being able to contain her. Why wouldn't she choose one that comes up higher and holds her in better?

And what about the younger women? Why do they almost always choose a skimpy two piece? The challenges are hard enough without having to worry if your being exposed. It's not a bikini contest, it's hard work. And even though you knew you would look great in a teeny bikini wouldn't this be one time when you'd want comfort and be able to move around without constantly adjusting something?

I'm not putting anyone person down, just wondering? What would you wear on a show like that?

LOL DH & I commented on that same issue....Wouldn't they want shorts type swimsuits or something?

Yeah, I thought the same thing. It is understandable in the years where they have a surprise start to the game, and the contestants weren't expecting it, but that is not the case this year.

Jeesh, even if it looks good at first you have to think what it is going to look like after 39 days without being washed!

Modesty is a good thing. Showing the girls to the world is not. Especially when the girls are now an object of ridicule on all the Survivor BB, and those posters are both witty and wicked. I would think that the younger girls would think about how uncomfortable those abbreviated suits would be over the course of a month, also.

Meh - regardless, they are going to be on TV...promoting themselves...I'm sure Mark Burnett doesn't mind...

the editors are pretty good at blurring what you shouldn't see.

on a side note - the girl that ran the first "reward" challenge for the "younger women" tribe...in the green sweatshirt.

I have that same sweatshirt...in blue...from Old Navy...now I have no desire to ever wear it again...heheheh (why? I dunno...i'm weird like that)

That might be true!
Still there are alot of one peices that are very uhhhhh appealing to the male eye. Remember those red Baywatch swim suits? Those were nice looking but you wouldn't have to worry about your top creeping up, falling off, etc.

I don't know. It just seems wierd to me. Most women I know are so paranoid about their choice of a swimsuit for just a day trip to their local beach let alone on tv with millions watching!!

Even if they required two piece suits, they do make them with underwire or supports that a couple of the older women could have used. Then again, there was one of the yound guys who had a little crack blurred due to his shorts riding too low. Its not like it was the last week and they lost a ton of weight. They could have at least started out with clothes that fit

Exactly what I think, especially the younger women with the great bodies but quite honestly I think Cirie probably never ever wore a swimsuit before in her life! And if I were that big I would defineately be looking at something a little more modest especially given the contests etc. I am seeing way to much of her and it ain't pretty!

Not trying to get too graphic but I remember Amber saying she chose the shorts type for Australia because they don't get to shave.

I think I recall Jenna, the one from the first Survivor, saying they went through their clothes and told them what they could bring, and if you had two or three suits they picked the skimpiest one....still doesn't explain why all the clothing you brought wouldn't be...well ya know, more supportive.

I might be the odd one out here but I felt kinda bad she was poppin' out all over the place . . .

She probably didn't realize that she'd pop out of it when she was trying on suits . . .I definately would of been the contestant with the t-shirt on over my bathing suit for those embarrasing pop-outs . . .

Exactly! And that's why you'll never see a Survivor Alaska.

Yes, i would wear the short with a tank top kind. I can't imagine worrying about my ****s or butt hanging out. But, apparently that doesn't bother most of them. I would even consider wearing a wet suit top for sun protection.

I just want to clarify that I am NOT trying to bash her or anything like that. I feel sorry for her too. Poor thing, she can't help the way she's built.

All I'm saying is if that were me, in the dressing room at the store you'd find me doing jumping jacks in front of the three way mirrors to make sure the goods stayed put!!
