Lack of FP+ options

I just did FP's for our trip (we were on at 7am, of course). We put HS & AK at the end to increase our chances of getting decent rides/times. We're morning park people and unfortunately so much of the FP availability wasn't until the afternoon. I'm hoping I'll be able to move some stuff up. :crazy2:
This was a totally different ball game from our May FP day.

7/07 (60): Arrival day
7/08 (60+1): Epcot (easiest day because I planned them for the evening).
7/09 (60+2): Relax day
7/10 (60+3): MK (I got Splash at 10am, BTMR at 1:40pm, and Space M at 2:40pm). Mostly afternoon availability.
7/11 (60+4): HS (No Tier 1s. RnRc at 12pm, TSMM at 1:40pm). I was shocked I couldn't get tier 2 rides in the AM.
7/12 (60+5): AK (Grabbed FOP as my first FP and got 1:55pm)(EE & Safari were easy and bright & early).

I knew going into it that we'd have limited availability so I booked everything for as early as I could get it (with the exception of our Epcot day). I usually stack them 9-10, 10-11, 11-12 so that gives you an idea of what you're looking at.
Did you not get tier 1 FP on July 11 because none were available or because you wanted an earlier time?

There were no Tier 1s available for the 11th. I wasn't picky. I took the earliest available for each ride but there just weren't any available for T1s.

Our trip in June (fingers crossed it doesn't cancel)
9:40 AM –10:40 AM Pirates of the Caribbean
10:55 AM –11:55 AM Jungle Cruise
12:15 PM –1:15 PM Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

11:30 AM –12:30 PM Rock 'n' Roller Coaster
3:55 PM –4:55 PM Toy Story Mania!
6:35 PM –7:35 PM Smugglers Run

I am pregnant and won't be able to ride most of these but got fast pass times for my husband for the ones I can't ride. I got to ride smugglers run in november and was surprised I got a FP. I've yet to EVER get a slinky FP. I only got a 2 day park hopper this trip because I'm not sure how I will do in the heat and with a ton of walking it's our first baby, but I'm happy with what I got. I love how people keep telling me "do you know it's going to be hot?" LOL Anyways, would love to get mickey and minnie that's the only ride we haven't done - other that ROTR but I also can't ride that. Just keep checking randomly throughout the day, I'm sure people are cancelling! Hoping you all get the FP that you want!

That is the problem. You should not need 60+7 and 60+8 to have a shot at those rides. It has never been this bad.
I have a a basis question - what do you mean when you refer to 60+3/60+4 etc? I know if you stay onsite you have an advantage of booking FP earlier than those who don't but thought that was 60 days - I don't understand what the + numbers refer to?

The number of days after arrival. 60+4 would mean the 4th day after arrival, etc...

Aah right - so 60 days out is still the earliest you can book - good to know for future. We should have been arriving 30th June but now cancelled and this would have been our FP window too 🥺

Ugh! Not looking forward to Wednesday. I guess I will view it like our Thanksgiving and xmas trips, where we took it slow and enjoyed looking around more. It will be very interesting to see what happens. We have a DCL cruise too after WDW. So, I am ready for everything and nothing at this point.

Anyone going in late June, have you noticed a sharp change in available FP's?

I check several times a day to improve my FP's. Thursday saw tons of movement. I saw Smuggler's Run and finally scored a MMRR (it is for 6:25pm, but I am hoping to improve)

Only to check yesterday and today to find WOWSA, nothing! Ever since I have hit my 60 day window I have logged on. But a shift happened yesterday. All of a sudden FP's that are normally plentiful are gone. HS: Beauty and the Beast, Frozen Sing Along, Indiana Jones; AK: The Animation Academy at Conservation Station, Festival of the Lion King. And FP's that are still available are really late. Living with the Land for 3pm? The Muppets at 4:50pm? If the Disney Pixar Film at Epcot runs out I will just keel over, lol.

Maybe the word of the soft opening at Disney Springs got people excited? :confused3 But the shift from Thursday to now has been very odd. I have never seen Indiana Jones out of FP's. Maybe because I would never book it. Not sure.

Anyone else notice this?

Somewhat yes. The ONLY fastpass available for 6/6 at HS is Muppets. This time yesterday, most other Tier 2 were all available.

Also, as of yesterday, WDW hotel and dining reservations, except at DS, are blocked until July 1. I wonder if they are blocking FPs due to this too. I think they either are trying to limit guests, especially with the possibility that they might even have to cancel some of the reservations to limit capacity, or they don't think they are going to open in June. Place your bets :sad2:

Ah! Very interesting.

Yesterday morning I checked hotel availability to see if anything had changed drastically and they still had prices up for rooms. That was early on, I'd say around 11am. I just went back, and they are gone.

My bet is on they are not going to open. I always figured it was a longshot, but the fun of planning kept me going. It kept positivity going. Oh well, just snapped back to reality. :(

This is what happened in March when they announced they were not taking reservations until June 1--the only FPs in May that still showed up were weird dregs (e.g., 6pm Muppet Vision). Nobody really knew why but suspect the system was just glitchy and they weren't able to shut down all FP reservations.

I'd take pretty much any bet they are not opening in June.

We have a July trip. Early on, I didn't think it would be a long shot, but now, I'm not convinced.
