Lacey & Keith's 10/24/11 Wishes Wedding! ***honeymoon, day 4...updated 6/18***

Sorry it has taken me so long to write my next installment! I have been looking forward to writing more, and since I have a couple of free hours at home I figured that now is a great time to continue! :surfweb:

DH and I woke up bright and early for our first full day at Disney! Truth be told, I was up waaaayyyy before DH was....all that excitement got to me! :yay:

I made us some coffee using the coffee pot in our room. I love coffee, and I must admit that this coffee and little packets of powdered creamer was rather gross. :rotfl: But we drank it anyways while we got ready for the day. I think I showered and got dressed in record time...because we were heading to the MK!!! We caught the bus from the BW, and made it to the entrance of the park just before 9am.

Here is a picture of me and DH. I am thrilled that we got this picture without any random people in the background! (I apologize in advance for the size of the photopass pictures...I tried making them smaller but they just don't look right when I post them!)

Oh, kind of random and off-topic, but I pre-purchased the photopass CD before we left for our trip. I am so glad I did this, because I was able to include everyone's photopass cards on my account and all of our guests' pictures were included on our CD. What a huge money-saver that was!

Ok, back to the TR...we met up with four of our friends who flew in the night before (my Matron of Honor, her hubby, and two other friends who made the long journey from MA).

Now, let me tell you that none of these friends have ever been to Disney with me before. They all have heard rumors about my obsession with all things Disney, however, I think they were a bit surprised to see me "in my element". As soon as we hit Main Street, I was off and running...well, actually, I was off and skipping! :rolleyes1 Don't you just love that feeling of arriving in the MK after having been away for some time? Hearing the sounds, seeing the sights...it truly is magical! :wizard:

Anywhoo, I led the group past the hustle and bustle and towards the Crystal Palace, as we had a date with Winnie the Pooh and friends! The CP is where I used to work while I was on the college program. Sometimes I even miss putting on that silly yellow dress before work....
IMG_0023.jpg

Fortunately, one of my old pals was working the breakfast shift that morning and I was able to chat with him for a few minutes. It had been years since I'd seen him (other than on facebook, that is).

We had a wonderful breakfast of Mickey waffles, puffed french toast, bacon (Piglet wasn't too happy about this), and eggs. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of our breakfast foods. Prior to leaving, I told myself that I was going to take pictures of every meal...clearly I was too excited to remember to do this when the time came! :confused3
IMG_0028.jpg

Right before the server brought us our check, she delivered a surprise cupcake to me and DH, along with a card that was signed by Winnie, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore (congratulating us on our upcoming marriage!). Our first dose of pixie dust for the day! :tinker:

Despite our full tummies, the 6 of us made it onto every single one of "Lacey's must-do rides" at the MK. Space/thunder/splash mountains, Mickey's Philharmagic, Peter Pan, POTC, teacups, Small World, and HM (we opted to wait in the new queue) among others.

Yes, I realize I am bossy (:rolleyes1) and slightly neurotic, but our friends actually told me they were happy to follow me around the MK that day...they didn't even have to pull out a map or figure out which rides to get fastpasses for. Hey, if someone wants to let me make all of the important decisions, who am I to refuse??? ;)

I also wanted to share this delightful picture with you all...the most adorable soft pretzel ever. Adorable and tasty. I had a pretzel every single day we were in Disney. This is also the most likely reason I gained 5 pounds in under 2 weeks...:rolleyes1

Next up...DTD!

Lacey,

Just catching up after our trip.

So sorry about MIL. Sending positive thoughts and good vibes out on the Pike for you, DH and especially your MIL.:grouphug:

Oh, thank you so much!!! :goodvibes The positive thoughts and good vibes found their way to Grafton! :woohoo:

I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL, my prayer are with all of you. I hope she becomes another one of the miracle stories.

Thank you so much. I think it's so wonderful that there are people out there like you who are praying for someone they have never met!

Great TR so far I am really happy for you I can't wait to hear more

Teresa

Thank you! I will try like heck to keep the time between posts to a minimum! ;)

Oh, I am so glad this installment is up! That first photopass picture of you and hubster is GORGEOUS!

You worked at CP?! That is SO cool.

Ummmm what else. Yes, I TOTALLY know that skipping-down-MK feeling! I love it.

And I was just talking about those Mickey Mouse pretzels earlier today. I cannot wait to have one in 2 months. (And only 5lbs?! Pfftt. My Disney Weight Gain Record is 6!)

Thanks for the compliments, Jackie! :goodvibes

Only one pretzel? You are getting married on my birthday, so I am requiring you to have one for me while you are there! Deal? ;)

After our fabulous day in MK, DH and I headed back to our room at the BW. We had plans to meet the best man, two groomsmen, and the two junior groomsmen in our room so they could try on their tuxedos. Boy, was that a stressful event! Trying to keep everyone's clothing and shoes separated while 5 men/boys changed was quite the hassle. Miraculously, every bit of clothing fit, and most of the guys left (with the exception of the best man, who was also staying at the BW, who joined us for a yummy beer outside on the boardwalk) to do their own thing for a few hours. :goodvibes

By now, most of our guests had arrived in Disney (or were scheduled to arrive shortly). Those guests who arrived the night before all received their welcome folders upon check-in. However, our friends and family who arrived on this day did not!!! I spent a few stressful moments on the phone with CMs from 3 resorts trying to get everything straightened out. I almost lost it when one of them told me they might have "misplaced" the folders. Luckily (for everyone involved :littleangel:) all of the folders were located and delivered to our guests' rooms.

Remember the newsletters I sent out before the wedding? Well, everyone made fun of me because I kept sending out newsletters, itineraries, and detailed emails about what would happen when we were in Disney. HOWEVER, during our time in the World, SOOOO many people kept calling (and texting) me because they didn't know where to be and when. SO SO SO frustrating!!! :confused3 I kept saying to DH, "they would have known this if they read the [gosh darn] newsletters/emails/itineraries!". The reason I am on a rant about this is because so many of our friends couldn't remember what time they were supposed to meet us in DTD that night for dinner. I specifically told everyone to be at Raglan Road at 8:15pm because our reservations were at 8:45pm. Sneaky, huh? :rolleyes1 Well, about half of our wonderful friends met us there on time (we had a total of 19 for dinner) and we spent some time enjoying the fabulous drinks, music, and dancing at the bar while we waited for our not-so-prompt friends. ;)

Once our entire party had arrived, they led us into a semi-private room towards the back of the restaurant. They had two big tables set up, and the room was just perfect! Everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves! It was so nice being able to spend the time with our friends who made the long trip to see us get married. :lovestruc

Oh, and I actually remembered to take a picture of my dinner! I can't, for the life of me, remember what it was called, but it was AMAZING. Some sort of pie thingy filled with chicken and mushrooms.
IMG_0046.jpg

After our lovely dinner, many of our friends went back to their resorts to get some rest. A few of us decided to go dancing! Originally I wanted to take them to Jellyrolls. However, when we got there, nobody really wanted to pay the cover charge (since it was already pretty late) so we decided to go into ADH for a bit. It was relatively empty, but that didn't stop my bestie Jon and I from tearing it up on the dancefloor!!! :woohoo:
923AD584-1F84-4D4E-80A5-DB9BD3FC5997-1321322463.jpg

Alright, so I am totally going to embarrass myself here, but I have to let you in on a little secret. When I dance, I have a little signature dance move that everyone thinks is hysterical (not sure why they think it's so funny, but oh well...). I always put one hand up in the air and wave it around while I am shaking my bum. Once in a while, both hands will pull up the top of my dress, just to make sure nothing is falling out ;) . Well, during our night at ADH, my friend Jon videotaped me doing my little dance (thank goodness I don't know how to post videos!) and showed it to all of our friends the next morning. When I post the pictures from our wedding reception and at-home reception, take note of all of the people who are doing "the Lacey"...

I finally decided that my feet hurt enough to call it a night (and I might have had one too many cocktails at this point), so DH and I headed back to our room.

Up next, breakfast with my family (and the hangover from hell!). :headache:

Okay, here are my comments! :)

*First: I will TOTALLY have a pretzel in your honor! ☺
*Ughhh that is SO annoying about people. I’m sorry. I haven’t sent out any newsletters because I know people won’t listen to me regardless.
*LOL!!!! I think you need to post pictures of this dance….

Oh Lacey everything looked so beautiful!!! I am excited to read your TR. So sorry that I didn't get to meet you on the Dreambut those 3 nights went way too fast. Thanks for the FE gift.

I am keeping your family in my prayers and I am sending your MIL some pixie dust.

Hello Fay!!! I know, I still can't believe I am MARRIED! I have a HUSBAND!! hahaha :rotfl2: Thank you for the kind words! :goodvibes

Lacey,

Looks like a great second day, especially the MK part. Love the photopass photos. I think I will now add photopass cards to everyone's welcome folders. :)

Sorry about the guests not reading the newsletters. I am struggling with my second one at the moment. Hopefully, someone is reading them! :confused3 When we sent our save the dates, a friend of ours asked me if they would be weekely or monthly. I told him maybe quarterly, but no guarantees! :rotfl:

I saw on (I think Fay's pj) that you are a WW leader. Good for you. I hit my goal about 4 years ago and have struggled since then. Started to get back on track before our first trip and now need to do it again. I have a dress to look good in dammit! :rotfl: The program really does work though and even when I am completely off track, it's always still there in my mind.

Can't wait to read more. How is MIL? Hope she is doing well.

I love having everybody's photopass pictures downloaded onto my computer! I plan on using them to make Christmas gifts for our friends and family!

Don't get me wrong--some of our guests read every piece of literature I threw at them (and some even brought the newsletters down to FL to refer back to). I am sure your guests are appreciative of the hard work you are putting into your newsletters! :goodvibes

OMG I LOVE WW! I became lifetime 3 years ago and started working for them about 8 months ago--mainly as a way to keep myself accountable!

MIL is the same, except now she is in a rehab facility instead of in the hospital--she travels back and forth to the hospital for her chemo. She likes the place that she is in, so that is a big relief! :)

I am just catching up on your PJ and reading all about your wedding trip to WDW :goodvibes

Your projects and wedding ideas are really awesome :goodvibes

I have decided on a song for the recessional (and have gotten DF's blessing ;) )! It's going to be "A Whole New World". I thought it was perfect since it will be our first "walk" as a married couple, and Aladdin is DF's favorite Disney movie! :thumbsup2 Now let's just hope I don't change my mind again...

The UPS, FedEx, and mailman must think that we are shopaholics because of all the packages that keep getting delivered at the house! :lmao: I just LOVE when my wedding stuff arrives! :cheer2: Here is the beautiful hand-painted parasol I purchased from Etsy...

IMG_3318.jpg

I can't decide if I will use this right after the ceremony, or a few days later when we have our honeymoon photo session (or both!). I think it's just lovely! :lovestruc

Just after we are married, we are going to have our guests blow bubbles as we exit from SBP. I bought these great little bubbles online, and they came with free personalization! The ribbon was purchased at Michael's (with a coupon AND a giftcard...DF was so proud of how frugal I was!). :woohoo:

IMG_3302.jpg

Aww love it!! We had the same ribbon (happily ever after) at our engagement party :)

Today was our rehearsal day. Today was also the day that I had one of the WORST hangovers in years. Too much dancing, too many cocktails, and super high heels did not equal a happy Lacey the next morning. :rolleyes1 After what seemed like only 10 minutes of sleep, my alarm went off at 7am. We were scheduled to have breakfast with my family at Cape May at 8am. I managed to drag my butt out of bed and pull myself together enough to be presentable for my mom, dad, grandmother, and aunts.

This was my first time eating at Cape May. Since DH and I were at the BW, we had a short little walk around Crescent Lake. We met the rest of the family there and enjoyed a yummy breakfast with characters! The Mickey waffles and bacon (and of course the coffee) did wonders for my head!

IMG_0056.jpg

IMG_0059.jpg

Once dinner was over, my parents walked back to the BW with us. My dad and DH's dad needed to try on their tuxedos, as they were the last to arrive in FL. Luckily, both of their tuxedos fit...which means NONE of our guys had to drive to MW and have tuxes fixed! I still can't believe that everything worked out the way it did?!?! :yay:

At 10am, a wonderful lady from Carolyn Allen's arrived to steam my dress (and my mother's dress and one of the BMs dresses). She did a spectacular job! She even helped me hang the dress from a picture frame on the wall and put a sheet over it so DH wouldn't accidently see it in the closet. :goodvibes While my dress was being steamed, DH and I sat on the bed and watched a little tv together. :happytv: My dress was finished before noon (11:30 maybe?) and I changed clothes and ran down to the lobby to meet my BMs who were picking me up for lunch and nails!

I decided that since we were going off-property to get our nails done, we would also eat lunch off property. When I was on the college program, my roommates and I used to eat at Bahama Breeze quite often, so this is where I decided to take my girls! We enjoyed a lovely lunch (and some most-delicious adult beverages ;)) on the patio.

Thank goodness DH's sister drove from GA and had her car, because she was able to cart us all over town! :rotfl: We got our nails done at Magic Nails, which was about 15 minutes from Bahama Breeze. The atmosphere of the nail salon was very nice...they had nice lighting and lots of pedicure chairs. My girls and I all got matching nail color. HOT PINK (I bet you aren't suprised!).
IMG_0063.jpg

Matron of honor, BM, and Maid of honor

Although Magic Nails looked nice and they did a FABULOUS job on our pedicures, I wasn't super thrilled with the quality of the manicure. In fact, my nails started chipping the next day...my wedding day! Thank goodness I had the bottle of polish to touch up my nails over the next few days.

After our time at the nail salon, we stopped at the grocery store in the same plaza in order to purchase some bagels, cream cheese, and OJ for the next morning. After a quick stop at the liquor store to buy a couple bottles of champage, we were headed back to Disney!

Up next...rehearsal and welcome dinner! :yay:

You got more champagne?! After the previous night's outings, you are no longer allowed to drink! :lmao:

I saw Jennifer's pics of Cape May too, and I am really jealous. I wish we had time to go there this trip, especially because we'll be at BCV! Oh well, perhaps some other time.

I just love hearing all of this stuff about C.A. and how awesome they are. :goodvibes

And WOO to having your SIlL being your driving slave :lmao: but BAH to a bad manicure. (Fun fact: I bite my nails and have never had a mani.)

Can't wait for more, missy!

We live in Grafton, but I grew up in Sturbridge :). It really is a small world, huh??

It really is a small world!!

Glad to hear all your tuxes worked out great, its nice when things just fall into place and work right :goodvibes

The characters look adorable dressed up for breakfast, too cute!!
