Lace up your sneakers for Christmas week til New Years if you think you can keep up!!

lol. Glad you aren't doing too much while out on medical leave. :lmao: Hope you feel better soon. (Maybe some more sleep...;) )

Finally!! :lmao: Going to do a recap in the parks for Day 4 – December 30, 2010::banana:

Here Goes:

We spent the morning in Downtown Disney – if you forget what we did you can check back a few pages!! Lol

We went back to the MK for reservations at Tony’s Town Square (again for photos – look back a few pages on page 6) Jamie ran and got a Fast Pass for Big Thunder Mountain as that was one of our favorite rides.

This is where I left everyone hanging!!:laundy::rolleyes1:surfweb::hourglass

After dinner at Tony’s Town

we walked on to Stitches Great Escape - and we really feel that attraction is just a waste of time. We were so glad we didn’t wait in line!! Riding Buzz Light Year:

We also did Micky’s Philharmagic and Minnie & Mickey’s house. We walked on to most attractions without too much wait time.
DisneyWorld2010280.jpg

After a bit of persuading, I got everyone to go on The Tomorrowland Transit Authority and once they were on and realized it was a nice leisurely tour and they could see great views over the park they agreed that it was a good idea!! You’d think they would all trust me by now!
We also did Buzz light year and Monsters Inc.
We rode the rail road around the park again too as these are all the things that Jamie had missed when he was sick the couple days earlier.
At least the weather was great today and we also had fastpasses for Splash Mountain!!
And YES!!! I did ride!!
I’d have to admit that I think Splash Mountain was my favorite ride of all. I just loved the sights and sounds of the whole ride. And I sat in the back so I wouldn’t get so wet!!
DisneyWorld2010212-1.jpg

But… I’m so glad I decided to ride it.
DisneyWorld2010213-1.jpg

After Splash Mountain, we watched the Main street Electrical Parade - again for Jamie’s sake since he had missed it.
IMG_0954.jpg

IMG_0959.jpg

After the parade we followed right along behind the parade up Main Street and got a prime spot for the Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks at 11:50 pm.
Let me say, that there is nothing I can say, to express how awesome these fireworks were!!!
They were the buildup to the NYE fireworks and they were just amazing. They did the countdown as if it were already NYE and they were 360 degrees around you. The sound was deafening and the sky was so bright.
IMG_0362.jpg

This was a great way to spend our last day at the MK!! And I was so glad that Jamie was able to re-do all the things he missed out on when he was sick the other day we were in MK.
Well, our favorite day is coming up!!! NYE! in Epcot!! I'll try not to leave you hanging as long!! :cool1:

Yay! You posted an update. I liked your pics of all your activities. Reminded me of when we did this 2 years ago. Thanks!

:goodvibes Thanks for sticking with me Marie.
I'm hoping to be finished with my full time job this week or next so that I'll be able to have time to finish up this TR!!! :rolleyes1

You are a braver woman than I...no way I would have done SM in the "winter":lmao: Your pictures are beautiful and everyone looks like they're having a great time! It is so beautiful when it's all decorated....great, now I want a Christmas trip...it never ends:rotfl2:

Ha!! Earlier on our trip when we were at MK it was so cold and we had fastpasses to SM and we couldn't give them away!!! :confused3

But.... by Dec. 30th the temp had risen to 24C ... so that's the only reason I went on that afternoon!! and so glad I did!!

Now.. you'll just have to plan your Christmas trip!!! The decorations and fireworks were so beautiful and the parks are busy but open early and stay open late!!!

After reading Queen's TR about Epcot... it's ignited a fire in me to get going with my last day in Epcot!! Going to start working on that today and maybe get it posted tomorrow or next day!!! :cool1:

Ok, so here we go!! :cool1: Our last day in the parks!! :sad1: New Years Eve December 31,2010. :wizard:

We are going to spend the day in Epcot.
DisneyWorld2010295.jpg

We had a late night the night before in MK, so we slept in a bit since we knew we would not be leaving the park once we got there. (Didn’t want to risk not getting back in later)
We headed out about 9 am and arrived at Epcot about 9:30 am. I immediately “ran” to get fastpasses for soarin, and once I got there, attendants were handing out the fastpasses, so I thought to myself that if my tickets didn’t actually go into the machine that perhaps I could get another fast pass right away, so I “ran” once again to the other side of the park to get a fast pass for “test track” ! where I got it from the machine!!
Both fastpasses were not until 10 pm!! (and it was 10 am!!! )
So here’s the thing: you cannot have a plan on NYE!!! There is no way that any itinerary is going to work! The parks were jammed!! So we just decided to “go with the flow”!!!:dance3:

Now, with 2 fast passes in our pockets, we met up and decided to do whatever had the shortest line! We queued up for “The Seas with Nemo” !!

DisneyWorld2010298.jpg

After we rode this Chloe decided that she needed to get in line for signatures of Disney Characters at the “Epcot Character Centre” :scared1:

Now… you’ve got to remember she is 23 yrs old!! And it’s NYE!!! I asked everyone a head of time what the most important thing was they needed to do and this was not on her list!! If I’d known this was so important to her, we would have done this on our first day there!!! But never the less, we got in line and 3 hours later she was a happy camper!!

After waiting for signatures, we got in line for spaceship earth and it went pretty quickly!

After this, we were heading over to World Showcase and specifically, to the Canadian
Pavillion to go to lunch at “Le Cellier”!!

Waiting for our table:

Our travel agents daughter was there working and we found her working outside at the
Refreshment stand.
DisneyWorld2010344.jpg

Once we were done getting drinks and popcorn, Jamie decided that he was going to venture off on his own to do a couple of rides like missions space which we didn’t get a fast pass for! :3dglasses
At this time, DH and DD and myself started our tour of world showcase starting in Mexico!
By the time we got to Germany it was about 6 pm our time and midnight in Germany and Denmark where our son’s boyfriend lives… so we decided to send a text!! As well, Germany had begun to distribute NYE hats and noisemakers so made sure to get ours. :woohoo: As the pavilion was already taking part in NYE festivities!!! We continued to make our way around the world as each country was celebrating NYE at it’s respective times (in their actual countries!!)

At a certain point we ran out of money and had to resort to using our “Key to the World”
Card!! Chloe just realized what this meant… and decided the next round of drinks would be on her!!!

Stick around! More to come!

Looks like a great time! I can't even imagine how crazy packed the parks were...good for you for going with the flow!:thumbsup2

Epcot was crazy that night!! But oh so much fun for NYE!!
Next up is going to the Rose and Crown Pub for late reservations on the Patio!! :cool1:

I'm getting ready to leave this coming Saturday for EUROPE!!! :cool1:
Going to see my son who is living in Copenhagen this year. We are going to do a side trip and fly off to Paris for 3 nights and then take the Eurostar train to London for another 3 nights and then fly back to Copenhagen where we'll just hang out!!! I'm so excited as this will be a first trip to Europe for me!! He's already been to London so he can be my tour guide there!! :thumbsup2

When I get back mid November, I promise I'll get to NYE!!!! celebrations in Epcot!!

OK, I guess that is a good reason not to finish the report. The sacrifices we make for our children... :lovestruc

Ha... I'm off tomorrow!! You should see my suitcase!! :scared1: It's mostly stuff for him!!! I've got 2 kilo's of brown sugar (which is almost 5 pounds!!) and 2 boxes of oreo cookie crust, 3 boxes of coffee, peanut butter, pumpkin pie filling (to make pumpkin chocolate chip cheesecake!!) And... I have to bring his winter jacket!! :worship:
oh.. and of course I needed to bring some "WINNIPEG JETS" gear!! I got him a t-shirt and some gloves and a christmas tree ornament and a notepad paper to put on his fridge and a beer insulater! etc...
Oh.. and I've also got the "Jeannie's cake" ready to bring too!!! (Jeannie's cake is a winnipeg tradition for those who don't know... it's a delicious cake that is rolled in dark chocolate bits and is on a shortbread cookie crust!! People take them on planes all the time!!) I hope it makes it all the way to Copenhagen with me!!
I'll be back Nov. 13th and I will get to that last installment!!
See you then!! :goodvibes

Debbie

Welcome home my friend:hug:

Your pictures on FB are stunning....I particularly like the one in front of Kensington Palace....Princess Diana was a favorite of mine!

We'll have to catch up soon!

Hi Queen...
We should plan a day for lunch. Maybe at saucers on Academy and then go take a look at Micheal Rodents down the street. If we go in between X-mas and new years he usually has all his disney christmas tree ornaments on sale!! :thumbsup2
