Labor Day- Halloween overlay

We are trying to plan a trip to Disneyland and I am contemplating over Labor Day. I know it'll be busy but I was wondering if it's possible some rides will be closed for the Halloween set up. I know it usually is turned to Halloween around the second week of September so I'm not sure if that's a bad time. With Covid things might be crazy and unknown but for those who have gone during Labor Day are there usually a shortage of the rides due to getting ready and decorated for Halloween? Thx!!

If they are going to do the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay on the Haunted Mansion, it will be closed that weekend. Everything else should be open. The Halloween overlay for Space Mountain (Ghost Galaxy) only takes a day- and most of that is signage-so it usually just goes down the day or two before official Halloweentime start unless they are doing some other refurb or maintenance at the same time. There aren’t any other rides that get full overlays for Halloween. GOTG does have a different version (Monsters After Dark) but that doesn’t require downtime- they can even switch it on an off during the same day (normal ride during the day, MAD in the evening).

Who knows this year, of course, but that’s how things went in the past.
