Hi there

We arrive on Sept 5th at 6.30pm for our first ever trip to Disney. We are staying at DGC for 3 nights.

We have two young boys who will be nearly 3 and 14 months at the time of the trip.

Our first night will just be checking in and sleeping ( we are travelling 14 hours from Oz!)

So here are my questions...

Labor Day- what shows will be on that night- I would love to see Fantasmic, the fireworks and the new WOC- will it be possible to see them all?

I assume that the days after Labour day ( the 7th and 8th) will be off season? Does that mean there will be no evening shows and that the park will close at 8pm?

If there are no other shows except those on Labor Day then I want to get premium seating for the Fantasmic show ( I wonder is WOC will also offer this?)

I will also want to do a PS for dinner that night.

I like booking everything in advance but know that the schedules don't come out until nearer the time so I guess there is nothing I can book now?

thanks for any info you can give me-- we are super excited !!:woohoo:

Folks here are still asleep, but we do Labor Day weekend every year. You won't be able to do WOC on the same night as fireworks easily, but keep in mind that is without knowing times. Logistics were never good trying to get from the Electrical Parade to Fireworks, so I can't see where there will be a difference. Remember, WOC is being built to keep people in DCA for the night - so they don't hop.

Now, if there is a 10:30 Fantasmic, you can probably make that after the early WOC (if they do two shows nightly, as rumored).

You can catch early Fsntasmic and stay on the Rivers to see fireworks. Fireworks are every night, based on weather, so it's easier to catch. Fantasmic, however, is not weather dependent as much as fireworks.

Priority wise, I would say, try to do WOC and Fantasmic on Labor Day and then fireworks later. Watch the WOC thread for best advice on the viewing tickets for best seating and then advice on how the traffic patterns work out after the show is over. With kids your ages, you don't want to push that stroller through a jam up to get out and into DL from DCA.

Best advice if it's possible - try one show per night with the kids being that young. My girls have close to the same age spread and that was how it always came down to doing night activities.

thank you, lol I forgot about the time difference!

I didnt realise the fireworks were on every night in low season- thats great!

Actually we are going to Disneyland on our way to the UK and were going to do San Diego on the way back but there is so much that I want to do at Disneyland that we have decided to go there on the way back too!!!

Now I just have to start planning the extra 3 days I now have!

thanks again

I looked at that Link ( thank you) but couldnt actually find the info on fireworks, shows etc. Only saw the opening hours and refurb details??
