Will Host Its Final
Disney Springs Performance
This December

"With over 8,500 performances to date, La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil has been a Disney Springs staple for nearly twenty years. Since its inception in late 1998, the show has welcomed many new acts; the most recent additions include a duo of comedic clowns followed by a troupe of world-famous break dancers and a real-life couple skilled in the rarely-seen art of aerial bamboo. La Nouba has been seen by over 10 million guests and will continue to dazzle audiences with its breathtaking blend of daring acrobatics and dazzling choreography through 2017, with a final performance scheduled to take place on December 31, 2017.

With ten months to take in a show, you still have plenty of time to be mesmerized by the artistry of the talented La Nouba team. For additional details, including current offers, or to purchase tickets, click here or call 407-939-7600.

“We are incredibly proud of the success that La Nouba has had for nearly two decades,” said Jerry Nadal, Senior Vice President of the Resident Shows Division for Cirque du Soleil. “We want to thank Walt Disney World Resort for a wonderful relationship over the years. We look forward to announcing what’s next for Cirque du Soleil.”

Wondering what’s next? Given Disney’s strong relationship with Cirque du Soleil over the years, we may soon have news to share about exciting new entertainment coming to Disney Springs so stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog."

La Nouba: The Store

Well, you never know.

The last two paragraphs are interesting. Cirque implies they have something next but I wouldn't be surprised if they moved offsite somewhere.

And the Disney comment speaks of strong relationship as if they will still have some kind of partnership ....

.....but then they say new exciting entertainment ......... but they think the NBA deal is exciting too, so I don't have too much confidence.

I would love if they brought Disney Broadway and changed it every year or so. Many folks aren't close to traveling Broadway shows.

Wow.

Hopefully they debut a new show and don't just leave. That would be a big loss for DS

Completely agree. It brings high quality entertainment that is different and enjoyed by wide range of guests.

I'm hoping the awkward finality in the writing is due to the fact it has been the only Cirque show there so an end to just the show, and rumors that the venue would be rebuilt for Cirque as they do the NBA work pan out. FINGERS CROSSED!

I think I last saw La Nouba in 2002. It's changed a lot since then, maybe we can squeeze in a visit in our September visit.

Perhaps a DVD release of the final version of the show is forthcoming. (There's an old release but that was a very different version of the show.)

I'm so sad to hear this. I saw this show on my last trip but decided not to see it this time as I saw it last one. Now I have to rethink my plans. This was the most amazing show I've ever seen.

Zed please

I too am truly hoping that there is a re-imagining of the theater perhaps, and a brand new Cirque show. Over the past 9 years of visiting Disney World, we've seen Cirque twice, and it was amazing both times. I don't think we will be seeing it this summer, as I don't believe that either time, or money will cooperate. I certainly hope that there is a new Cirque show in it's place soon though!

La Nouba was one of the highlights of our trip last year. I'm sooo glad I booked that. My dad accompanies us to Disney because he wants to be a good sport, but he doesn't really get into a lot of the hoopla of the parks like my mom and I do. What he does love is music and a good show, and he LOVED La Nouba. We all did. Even sitting up in the "cheap seats" it was a fantastic experience.

If anyone hasn't seen it, or hasn't seen it in a long time, and you're heading to WDW before it closes, I'd highly, HIGHLY recommend it.

If Disney is smart, they'll replace it with another show of equal appeal. People might not come to Disney Springs just to eat and shop, but if they're heading there for a show, they're more likely to eat and shop before/after that show.

I would like to take my family to see it in November; do you know if in years past they ran shows on Thanksgiving evening?

How sad! La Nouba is one of my favorite Cirque du Soleil shows (I have seen at least a dozen different ones) and I have seen it three times (with different people). I don't have any plans to go to Orlando this year, so won't get to see it a final time. Here's hoping they'll replace it with a new Cirque du Soleil show!

I am so upset to hear this! We wanted to see the show during our January 2016 trip (our first wdw trip), but couldn't fit it. In January 2018, we are doing a Disney cruise and following it with 3 days at WDW. This was the top thing on our list to do. We're going to miss it by 2 weeks :( There is no way to move our dates. I'm so disappointed - even dh was psyched to see the show!

Going to have to try and get there on next trip before its gone.

Apparently, I have way too much free time lol.

I would love to see this before it's gone. Maybe on our trip this summer. Is it preschooler friendly? Or not good for the 4/5 year old crowd?

I would love to see this, again, one last time, before they go. Unfortunately, it looks like they're dark, when we're there in May. :(

With no Disney Quest and no La Nouba my family really has no reason to go to DS...I really hope they're planning on bringing a new Cirque show and not just more shopping.

I agree. Im taking a drive down just to do Disneyquest and see La Nouba one last time in May. I've seen Cirque twice before and this was a HUGE highlight of my trip. One of the things that pulled us to Disney Springs. Heartbroken to see it go.
