La Hacienda or Cantina for Illuminations

Which is better????? I'd really rather not have to make ADR's just to get a good viewing spot. How is the Cantina viewing location ? Maybe some late night drinks and dessert while watching Illuminations. Although, my favorite drink spot is France during Food and Wine (Yummy), so maybe I should look around there for a good spot. Any thoughts?

this is one of our favorite spots to watch illuminations, (la cantina) we always get someone to grab a table outside by the lake, have dinner and magaritas during the show. sit there awhile after the show, let the crowds thin out and walk back to the buses.
