La Hacienda de San Angel for Illuminations???

I have eaten in the restaurant. But not for Illuminations.
That would be a good restaurant to view Illuminations from. The timing would be the issue.

There is an amazing view. We ate there Thanksgiving week and there is a full window overlooking the lagoon. Just be sure to ask for a table at the window for Illuminations when booking and you should be good. The food was fantastic, btw. Have fun!!:goodvibes

We ate at La Hacienda in October and had a very different experience from everyone else here. We had a 7:30 ADR and got seated about 7:45 in the back room. Could hardly even see the windows from where we were. The server said nothing to us about getting up to watch Illuminations, frankly I didn't see anywhere we could have done that without standing in front of someone seated at a window table. The food was just okay. I had the Shrimp Tacos and have had better at Wahoo for half the price. We asked for our dessert to go so we could run and find a place to watch the fireworks since we thought we were watchng from the restaurant it was not easy that late to get a decent place to watch. Very limited menu only about five entrees and three desserts. We will not be eating here again, shoulda kept the ADR at Italy!

we ate there in November...liked the specialty margaritas (pricey, but strong, and very tasty) and the main entree (had the meat platter for two) but didn't care much for the desserts.

Can attest that at least 1/3 of the seating has no view whatsoever...that side room has windows, but the view is nothing, and you cannot see the lagoon/'fireworks at all, even when you have the actual window seats in that side room (this it to your left as you enter the restaurant) We had those window seats...worthless for seeing anything.

About 1/2 the people in our section did get up & go in the other room to watch Illuminations, but you're basically standing behind all the other tables in that room, so you won't see any of the higher fireworks anyway. They dim the lights during Illuminations which is kind of a pain if you're in the back room and trying to eat.

We were seated about 7:45, and had asked for a window seat...which we got. Just not one that would do us any good...at the time we were seated we'd never been in there, and it was dark outside so we really did not realize we would not be able to see Illuminations from the window until after we'd been seated and realized there was no lagoon view from that window.

I agree with the two Posters immediately above.

I ate there last Monday and was "Pixie Dusted" with an amazing "window/IllumiNations view" table.

It was AWESOME!:)

BUT,there are VERY few of these prime tables and all other tables have either no view or "less than spectacular" views.

We ate there Friday. 12/10
HATED IT!
We were seated in the room with no view. The service was fantastic but the food just wasn't good. We reallys wanted to love it. :(
