La Hacienda de San Angel for Illuminations???

So I reserved at table here for our next trip during a time when Illuminations should be showing. I have only seen online images of this restaurant. Do you think that we will be able to watch Illuminations from this restaurant??? It's not a deal breaker I just thought it would be fun to try this out. So any info from you Florida-baed DIS'ers would be fantastic!!

I make 7:45 reservations for a 9PM Illuminations. Will that work?
Do we have to ask for a window seat or can you see from all the tables (Like is it seating like Coral Reef?)

Our ADR is for 8 pm so I'm hoping the timing will be right too. I'm wondering about the window seat too?!?!?! Hopefully some DIS'er will post about it soon.

The Disney Food Blog has a great roundup of written and video reviews of La Hacienda. I went through the list at the bottom of this page this morning, and I saw at least 3 or 4 videos from different sources that showed the fireworks from inside the restaurant and on the patio/gazebo:

I've got 7:45 ressies for my first night in the world. I'm hoping that's a good time for the ADR! The view looks stupendous.

It's definitely on the online ressie site. You may have the same problem I had originally - I looked under "H" for Hacienda, but they listed it under "L" for La!

I just checked, and I'm able to pull it up. It is listed as: La Hacienda de San Angel

Do you have the dining plan tab clicked? For some reason it is still showing up as not on the plan, but it is definitely there for making ADRs.

Well since no one has answered, I'll take a crack at it. Mind you, I'm not an expert. I've just done some research, as I too have dinner ressies hoping to catch a good spot for Illuminations. So here goes...

No, this isn't San Angel Inn. That restaurant is still there. La Hacienda is a newly constructed restaurant.

From what I understand, MOST of the restaurant has a good view of Iluminations. The closer to the window, obviously the better. Otherwise the highest fireworks get a bit cut off. There is a smaller room that has basically no view of the fireworks. But from one report, if you are sitting there you can leave your seats during the show to go stand by the windows (some windows, somewhere apparently.) The management not only allows it, but assists you in the process. (I only saw one person report this. So I hope it's true).

I'm hoping it will be worth it for a nice entertaining dinner, and not having to fight the crowds to watch Illuminations. I guess we'll all see.
