Hi,

I am new to this forum and I was wondering if anyone has stayed at La Croix De Vieux Pont, Berny Riviere, could you give me any tips or info?

We have booked a break through The Sun newspaper £9.50 holiday deal for May of this year.

I have seen in the Keycamp brochure that the park run a coach to Disneyland Paris and to Paris itself. How much does the trip cost and what days does it run on?

Thanks.

We have stayed there a few times - its a lovely campsite. We did the coach trip into Paris with them but not the DLP one- it was easier to drive ourselves.

I cant remmeber the prices but remember thinking it was quite expensive if theres a few of you because I dont think their price included tickets to the park

They did the trips twice a week I think (possibly once in low season) but not sure which days

If you want any more info let me know

we have stayed here twice with the sun ( and going again in oct with the sun too!)

we never bothered with the coach trips

can't remember from memory what times they left / returned but think it was twice a week they ran them?

we like to leave early and return late ,so driving was definitely easier / better for us

Its a lovely site, hope you enjoy :goodvibes

Hi We stayed there in Sept 06, It is a wonderful site. Id be happy to go back there year after year. We drove to Disney ourselves but we did use the site bus for a trip to Paris, it was VERY expensive then so with the currency the way it is its probably an even worse deal now.
Here is the link for the campsites website, hopefully you will find what you need on there.

It is a very easy drive to Disney from the campsite, we drove 3 times from there with no problems. I researched obsessively before we went so feel free to pm me if there is anything you want to know about the site or surrounding areas. Just a tip, make sure you visit Pierrefonds chateau. Its a sight to behold!! It also where BBCs Merlin is filmed.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately, we don't have a car. So, we have to rely on public transport, excursions and taxis.

We did want to stay at International, but we couldn't get the dates we wanted, so we took this park.

Looking on the bright side, the facilities are a lot better at La Croix De Vieux Pont.

Is there a local bus service to Paris? If so, we could make our own way to Disney and go for 4 or 5 days. I definitely want to go to Pierrefonds Chateau, as I am a fan of the show, Merlin.

The facilities are much better than International.

Im not sure about a bus service but the site is between Soissons and Compeigne - the 2 nearst big towns and Im sure there is a train from Soissons into Paris but Im not sure how much it costs or how long it takes

Im not sure that there is a bus service to Paris as we noticed quite a few locals using the sites bus trip to get into Paris. Perhaps you would have to go to Compiegne to catch a bus or use the train in Soissons.

Maybe email the campsite and im sure they would give you more information on public transport, or try posting on trip advisor on the Compiegne forum to find out.

You can easily get a train from either Compiengne or Soissons to paris. Soissons is nearer to the site & I think there's a local bus but you might need a taxi if setting off early.

We stayed at Berny last year (we've been approx 5 times) with Canvas holidays & they had the train timetables in their reception. Also campsite reception is very helpful

Does anyone know how much the coach from La Croix De Vieux Pont to DLP costs? And does it include the admission tickets?

I only ask because we want to go twice to DLP and it would be cheaper to buy a 2 day hopper before we go than pay each day on the door.

Thanks.

when we stayed there Im sure the cost of the coach didnt include the price of the admission to the park but as I said earlier we didnt actually do the trip so Im not 100% certain
