L & M car rental?

We are thinking of renting from L & M at MCO. We are able to get a full size for $433 for 16 days. All other agencies want well over $500, both at MCO and Sanford, using codes from AAA, BJ's and mousesaver codes. If anyone used this agency. or has any suggestions, I'd appreciate hearing it. Thanks!

Have a backup plan in place.

Also bring a copy of the page(s) of your own car insurance policy showing what coverages you have.

L&M is one of the few agencies that reserves the right to require you purchase their collision coverage if you don't have collision on your car back at home.

Also there are sporadic reports of L&M (and also their affiliate EZ) simply refusing to honor reservations. Whether it was connected with proof of insurance was not revealed. Most of these reports had to do with busy periods including Daytona Week (whenever that is).

We have used L&M twice now successfully at the Orlando airport and had no problems.
They were cheaper than any of the other rental agencies at the time and we gave them a shot.
I had heard talk about them not honoring a reservation and stuff like that so I was very careful in communicating before during and after my booking. I would just make sure that you do the same.
We didn't have difficulties however we have heard things here at the boards and that made us a little leery.
However our last trip down in October I checked with L&M and they were as high as everyone else?? So I don't know what to think now. Maybe they fixed all the customer service issues and booking stuff and have to charge more money like everyone else?
Anyway I would use them again if they had the best pricing!!

I've rented from L&M 3 times in the past and will again next week. I've never had any problems. Always got the car I reserved. Had my proof of insurance with me. They never tried to fast talk me into a bigger car or insurance (just say no!). And there was never a wait in line when all the other companies had lines. Pick up and return was convenient. I usually go at non peak seasons so that may explain it.
 

Reservations are automatically cancelled after 1-hour of expected arrival time. If Renter is in route and notifies us of their delay, a reinstatement fee may apply to all late arrivals to guarantee rate category on reserve

Most agencies guarantee your reservation until midnight or at least will honor your rate if your flight is delayed.
