Have read many a post on the famous Kungaloosh drink from the Adventurer's Club...I made a batch tonight using FortWildernessGuy's recipe that everyone seems to love so much. I obviously did something wrong.

I used equal parts of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, DeKuyper's Blackberry Brandy, orange juice and Taste Of Florida Strawberry Daiquiri Mix and blended with enough ice to make it slushy. Yuck!

First batch tasted very diluted so I added more Captain Morgan, a splash more Blackberry brandy and another full portion of Strawberry daiquiri mix, a touch more ice and blended again. Better....but still can't be the drink everyone raves about. Will try again....any suggestions? Perhaps my ingredients are not up to par, for example the brandy tastes like cough syrup when I sip it. The daiquiri mix is not near as sweet as some, although this was one of the pricier brands made with a high percentage of real strawberries.

Just what is this drink supposed to taste like? :confused3 Off to try again...

Does anyone have a non-alcoholic version?

I think that sounds like something the kids might like--but it kind of makes my teeth curl up just thinking about it!!

I do like to SAY "Kungaloosh" though!!

Memph1s, you are not alone. We made it and did not like it at all. Trashed that recipe.

Use coconut rum, fruit punch, oj, and black berry brandy. On the rocks. But I like my beer.
