KTTW cards and DDP

So, I have finally made the decision to stick with regular DDP instead up upgrading to DxDDP. My next question is, We are dining one night at California Grill and want to just pay out of pocket for it instead of using our credits. Am I able to charge the amount onto my KTTW card and not have meal credits taken off?? Do I just tell California grill that we are not on the plan? Will i have to use a different Credit card?? We are also eating at Narcoosees one night too, and just don't want to use 2 TS credits for those places. Thanks!

Yes, you can use your KTTW card to charge it back to your room. I would not even tell tell the waiter that you are on the dining plan. We have done this before and have not had any problems.

You can charge with your room card and pay oop. You may want to be very clear with your server that you do NOT want to pay with the dining plan, and check your receipt carefully before you leave the restaurant. I don't think I would say nothing, because your key card will say right on it that you are on the dining plan, and you don't want the servers to assume that you are paying with dining credits.

I totally agree with Nala: it is always a good idea to be explicit with your server if you're trying to do anything like this. And check those receipts, just to be sure.
