Please note - you will get an email with information about the fridge before you leave. That includes information about the people before and after you, and a picture of the fridge box. I don't send the information out too soon in advance because people frequently cancel or if there is still an open slot before or after you. When I'm sure about the people before and after you, you'll get your email.

This is lcasa - I was scheduled to get the swap refrigerator several days ago but it is missing. There is nothing in luggage services with my name on it. If I knew what it looked like I could search for it but the pictures on page 43 have been deleted.

Can anyone help me identify how to get the refrigerator. Luggage services will let me in to look if I know how to identify it.

Also I wanted to warn Midge not to buy a lot of food until the refrigerator is located (like I did).

First, thanks to the folks that sent the pics - it was easy to spot once I had the info ( actually my DH who stayed home for this trip was posting for me, and was able to describe it from the pics since I didn't have a computer with me).

First lesson: know what the frig looks like! It is very easy to spot in luggage services with that knowledge. Before I went I printed the first page of instructions for this swap - but the links for the photos were expired. If I had seen those, I would have saved a lot of money spent on perishables which had to be thrown out.

2nd lesson: label the frig CLEARLY with the NAME of the next swapper - on the FRONT door of the frig. They store them on shelves, facing front. Labelling anywhere else won't show. And they don't use confirmation #s - didn't even want to know mine. Just names. The front of the frig had a name and date from MAY on it - so I don't know how even the prior swapper got it. There was no sign for me that was visible for luggage services - so I don't blame the 8 luggage services cms I spoke to over 4 days of trying to get the frig for not finding it.

3rd lesson: get the cell phone of the prior/next swapper if possible - I had NO WAY of contacting the prior swapper, and she was a newbie to the forum ( didn't have enough posts to private mail at the time of requesting the swap ) so I suspect she never checked the forum once she returned the frig to make sure I received it - and she could have described it to me.

Overall a very frustrating, expensive lesson for me. I wasted a lot of time trying to track it down because I didn't want to be responsible for ending the swap. I hope others can learn from my troubles.

Flipflopmom isn't part of this swap (explanation in PM). I am the next swapper and would really like to have the fridge on Saturday, and I'm sure Brooklynnsmommy would like to have it after me. Bastiansmom-were you able to get a hold of the lady at Pop in lost and found? How'd that go?

Update for everyone else: I recieved a call from someone at Lost and Found at Pop. They had the fridge as it was left in the room. Bastiansmom called to give them the info. that they need to hold the fridge for her. So I think everything is back on track now. Phewwwwww!

She said that if someone didn't come claim it TODAY they would send it to "Property Management" where it would be put up for sale for Cast Members to buy.... YIKES! I hope I never lose anything. Anyway, she said to call luggage services to see if they could come get it and hold it until Saturday. To be honest, this option didn't sound very promising; it seemed like she was really put out to have to mess with this. I called luggage services and Randy was awesome. He said he would go pick up the fridge and put my name on it so we should be good to go. I have already contacted the next swapper and have all of her information so the fridge should be in good hands.. at least until August!

Can anyone confirm that this is how the box looks to-date? Also 8/3-16 is available between BrooklynnsMommy 07/25 - 08/03 and myself 8/16-22. BrooklynnsMommy has requested my info but I see a request has been made for 8/5-14. Please let us know if these dates are confirmed so that BrooklynnsMommy has the right information for the fridge.

It is still a bit off but I am trying to tie up all the loose ends for our nest vacation.

sammysmom - Please contact me so that we can arrange to meet at the Pop Century to transfer the fridge as we arrive late in the evening of Thursday September 24, and we are set to get the fridge on the Saturday September 26.

Matthews4Disney - Please forward me you contact information so that I can have it printed and ready to put on the fridge. I will be leaving the resort around 9:00am on the Sunday October 4, 2009. If like me you have added a day to the beginning of you trip maybe we can meet up to transfer the fridge instead of leaving it at the luggage service desk.

Fatima1922 - That is exactly how it looked last September when we last used it. I had wrapped the entire box in a layer of packing tape to make the box stronger so that it would last for a long time.

I am looking forward to our trip and just last week paid off Disney World & Royal Caribbean and today I paid for the Hyatt at the airport for our last night and a limo to take us from Disney World to Port Canaveral.

All that is left is to pay for parking in Seattle and Spending money, and thanks to the free Dining a just need to bring money for tips & souvenirs while in Disney World as all the food is already paid for.
