I just returned on Oct.25 and fridge did not have a freezer. Not sure about the people who are reporting that it did. At first luggage services tried to tell me that it wasn't there, but then I came back with a picture of the box, and they were able to find it. The first few days, it stayed really cold, but toward the end of our trip, I noticed it wasn't keeping things as cold. There was no try to collect the water on the bottom of the fridge so my DH made a make shift water collector out of a plastic cup to catch any water it might drip. I left it in luggage services with the next person's name on, so hope everything went smoothly.

I haven't been around lately, so I'm back for a day to catch up. I'm very sorry if I missed anyone's information or messages. My husband was taken by ambulance to a hospital out-of-town 8 days ago and he's in pretty bad shape, no sign of being released anytime soon. I have been with him (no computer), but I came home today to take care of some bills and house matters. Please bear with me if you are waiting on swap information. I'll go send out info to the next several people in a few minutes here. I just lost my mom a few months ago, I can't bear to lose another loved one so soon. I'm planning on having him transferred by ambulance to a hospital near my home, but they have to wait until he is stable enough to move. Please just be patient with me, thanks.

I sent fakeredhead a PM yesterday, and they have not replied. Try sending them a PM or email, to find out if they have the baggage claim tag from POP. That way you can give the claim number when you get there.

Normally, that person would have wrote your confirmation#, name, and arrival date. Plus they contact you with the tag number.

WHAT ARE MY RESPONSABILITIES AS A SWAPPER?
You are responsible for arranging times, with the swapper before you and the swapper after you, to complete the "swap". Things will run a lot smoother if we do the swap in person from DISer to DISer. The less it goes behind the desk at Pop the better. IF you must leave it at luggage services at Pop you must place a note on the fridge box that contains the full name of the next swapper, check in date, and confirmation #. That way there is less chance of it getting lost by staff. The fridge box must be kept in good condition-that leads to a longer swap when it goes in and out of luggage services. You are responsible for getting back with me after I have tried to contact you. Also, please, please, please let me know if your plans change and you will no longer be able to participate in the swap. The sooner you know the better. AND OUT OF CONSIDERATION FOR ALL SWAPPERS, OR THOSE LOOKING FOR A SWAP, PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP FOR ONE FRIDGE SWAP.

dkferret hasn't been here checking the thread since November. So unless they forwarded your confirmation # to fakeredhed, then your confimation is not on the box when they returned the refridge on 12/17/08.

I PM'd fakeredhed to see if they have the baggage claim ticket. You need that number in order to pick it up.

I'll let you know if I hear anything.
