This is all quite weird. When I talked to the maid manager, she said that the items were in a room and the person just checked out that morning. She did make it sound like everything was out, not packed up and in the box. Wendi did say she never got anything. It's like someone used the stuff for a few days. The manager did tell me that they hold items in lost and found for about a month, so I was hopeful that we'd get it all back. Oh well, I really hope that Douglas gets the items back and the swap can continue.

I did see that another swap's fridge went missing last week too . .

I am already in a swap but I am looking for one for my sister. she has a baby going and it was going to be tough for 2 family to share a fridge..she could use this one for july 17-22...we check out early on the 22 so i am not sure if you want to switch the eve before or not...it may be easier...that is if you find the fridge

I just got off the phone with luggage services.
they say that they have the fridge, a toaster, a coffee maker and a microwave with my Name and reservation number for arrival this Saturday.
If isn't in a box anymore I will attempt to get one while I am there to make sure that the appliances are packaged.

Microwave? Wow, that's new. This swap is getting huge!

When I was there, I needed a box to pack stuff up to mail home. I was told to go to the gift shop early in the morning when they are restocking and before they start breaking down the boxes. They were really nice and brought out different boxes for me and I picked the size I wanted. If they don't have boxes one morning, tell them to hold one for you. I also needed some packing tape and they told me to go to the front desk (conceirge? area, not check in area) and ask for some. I got a whole roll and was told to just bring back what I didn't use. You may want to bring some tape with, just in case. But the gift shop should be able to supply you with a good size box.

Maybe bring some wrapping paper to put on the box to distinguish it from others, or just draw or write on it. Also, the main box has a "pocket" on the side to put the next swapper's information in - it's just a clear piece of plastic held in place on three sides with tape (slide in the info sheet from the top). You may want to do the same thing if you use another box.

I'm Guessing this is a totally different set of stuff. There was no microwave when I used it and it was in the box clearly marked with Krystals #. How would they have been able to contact her if there was no box? This is very curious. Ida

Hi, yes, our fridge (and other appliances) is available for those dates. If you are leaving early in the morning (before luggage services opens), you would need to return it the day before. I'm not sure how early luggage services opens, and the fridge needs to be defrosted and drained first.

We had a large gap in July, so this helps us by filling it in. Thanks.

Ok, Just got home from Disney on Ice (HSM) YAY!, and had a minute to read up. Looks like it was found. YAY! I have no idea why they told anyone I checked out early! Heck, I had to ask for a late checkout!! I did ask thru Wednesday, and no luck. I didnt know what to think, and by Wednesday, I had lost all hope of it turning up. When I arrived back home, I had an email from dkferret, which I answered immediately. The only reaonable explaination is that they found it, then delivered it to the wrong room. Whatever the case, I survived without it, and hopefully Douglas is using it now.

Ok, now that all of that is settled, I am going back 9/10-9/14. I haven't looked at the availability, but if it's available for those dates, can you add me to the list? It couldnt POSSIBLY get lost on me TWICE lol. Thanks!!

Hello , sorry for the delay

I did get the fridge and a 4 cup coffee maker from lost & found when we arrived on Saturday night April 26, 2008. I retaped the box so that it is secure and left it this morning for the next person with a dozen or so packages of Tim Hortons Coffee in it as well. The next person will need to get more small flat bottem filters for the coffee maker as there only around twenty left.

No microwave or toaster but at least the fridge a coffee maker are still going.

Got to go and get ready for Victoria & Alberts tonight.
