Kringla waffles gone?

I searched the threads for this with no success. My son was crushed the other day when we went to kringla bakery in Norway yesterday to discover that the waffles were gone from the menu. They are one of his go to favorites in epcot. Anybody know what's up with this? When did they disappear? will they be back after the refurb? or are they gone forever? It's been about three years since he was there so granted this may be old news but we were surprised...
