Bad service, bad atmosphere, food that was unremarkable, long wait for dessert, and Baklava that was just bad. - That is why I say Never again!
Six of us had a 7:30 ADR Monday on 6/28 at Kouzzina's. We arrived on time and I went to check us in. The cast member who was working at the counter couldn't get us checked in, she saw our reservation but couldn't get the touch screen to work for her. So she proceeded to put us in as 'The lady in the green shirt' instead of our name, then said we didn't need pager. We sat down in the waiting area in full view of the checkin desk. After about 15 minutes, she walked over and gave me a pager and said she had fixed the problem and to wait for the pager to go off. By that time everyone who was in the room when we got there had already been seated. We proceeded to wait another 30 minutes without the pager going off. About 45 minutes after we had first arrived for our reservation, (many many other people had been seated), the woman at checkin said "Your pager hasn't gone off yet? Oh dear", she then proceeded to spend another 15 minutes consulting with 3 other people and they finally seated us a full hour after we had gotten there.
The restaurant was very very loud and only the two people seated closest to the waitress could hear what she was saying. We all ordered dinner. Another 30 minute wait for dinner to arrive with even six glasses of water taking time to get there before dinner. The food was unremarkable. I was expecting some real wonderful flavors seeing as Kat Kora is an Iron Chef. But was extremely disappointed with the blandness of the food.
We then ordered dessert and coffee. The coffee came right away but we waited another 30 minutes
for our dessert to come. I had ordered the Baklava their signature dessert. Now, I know Baklava to be layers of puff pastry lots of sweet sticky honey and wonderful rich walnut filling. This was a roll of tough pastry (that you couldn't cut with your fork) and tons of crunchy, unsweet filling. So disappointing!
I will not go there again. If it's just bad service, then you understand or just a bad meal, you understand. But all those things together just makes it a 'Will not ever return'.
